    • Makes water changes so easy!!!
If I could rate this 10/5, I would. It makes water changes so much easier, I can easily use it to remove water and clean my sand, and (more importantly), I can use it to pump the new water from the bucket on the floor into my aquarium on its stand. I used it to clean my 10 and 29 gallon aquariums, and it was 10000% worth the money. Faster, easier, more effective, and less spilled water. I almost cried when it wasn't working after I dropped it because I thought I would need to finish my water change without it. Turns out it was completely fine from the drop, but I had accidentally unplugged it. Never going back to lifting buckets of water to dump in the tank for water changes! ... show more

The pump cleaner works wonders. It does its job. Only downside is that the gravel cleaner is just one part. Making it hard to clean the filter that is inside as well as to take any bits larger particles. But besides that.     • Best bang for your Buck!
I am a newbie aquarium hobbyist. I was nervous about my first tank cleaning, but this vacuum made my tank sparkle! I disagreed with other reviews that say the parts are cheaply made, or it doesn’t clean gravel good. The parts are made out of exactly what they need to be to get the job done and to get the cost at a good point. I have zero qualms with the construction. My tank is 29 gallons and after dropping an algae tab to feed my snail at the recommendation of the pet store owner, EVERYTHING was covered in algae. This vacuum was amazing and the process was cathartic. For the one saying that the gravel tube isn’t long enough I think there is a finesse to how to work it. I would hover over the gravel and watch the poop flow up the tube. I think if you’re having trouble with the gravel filling up the tube, you’re trying to do too much at once, because waste can’t flow through gravel.. I quickly learned how to gauge just the right amount of suction to get the waste out of the gravel and I was very happy with the results! A must buy! If you’re on the fence, I would say go for it. I was extremely anxious about how this was going to perform and how laborious it was going to be but in the end I can’t wait until the next cleaning and I love the way my tank looks! ... show more

    • Didnt last long
Genuinely didn't last long, maybe only lasted a month before it stopped working. At first I was super impressed and happy with my purchase but all of a sudden it completely stopped working in the middle of a water change.. I tried re-cleaning it, using a different spot to plug it in, and disconnected and reconnected the power supply. Its super upsetting. The hose that connected to the device for draining water always kept popping off the device. I tried a ziptie and at the time it seemed to solve the issue. Its good but wish it had a little more filtration and also should inlcude more than 1 of those filter bags. No idea where to get a replacement filter bag. Its also relatively big and cumbersome. I only use it when I need to clean up but don't want an actual water change.

    • Fish keepers dream
This sounds so cliche but this is literally everything I always wished for in aquarium equipment. I can't believe the price. This is so worth it. It has made my life way easier. I love that the aquarium I had to put in front of the window will be easier to clean bc it comes with a cleaning brush. Instead of scraping the inside just for it all to settle or be pulled up and clog the filter and shorten the life of the powered and increase the number of mesh changes I can use this thing and such it away as I go. The suction power is awesome. I love I can set it up in a bucket and it will pump for me while I do other things. No need to worry about water getting into the battery compartment. My old pump had to have the water level exactly between a very narrow set of lines. It also didn't have as much customization as to length so it made it very difficult and I would often have to hold the bucket tilted to keep the pump working so the water level was high enough. It was a total bummer but better than a hand pump so I put up with it. I only have flourite black gravel in both tanks so I use the attachment with the little filter ball. The cloth that goes on the shower return for vacuuming is not a cheap dollar store quality. I know it will actually hold up and it easily stretches over the shower head but recoil back to be secure. It made short work of vacuuming the tank and short work of water change. This thing is great for those who love fish but don't have as much time and need quick solution to keep your finned friends healthy. I guess it is also good for those who don't want to spend all the time in cleaning. I could go on forever but this thing is awesome. Can't believe I went so long without this thing. ... show more

I’m very pleased with the performance, power and ease of use of this product. It makes weekly water changes and tank cleaning a non issue. It was a great buy. Be sure to read the instructions before use though. I had one accidental spill.
