I have used a hand iron in the past to transfer printable shirt transfers (both light "mirror" transfers and dark "print on vinyl" transfers, but had less than stellar results because I either heated the transfer inconsistently or too much, causing the shirt color to leak through the transfer (dark t-shirt "print on vinyl" transfers). Since I bought a Cricut Maker (vinyl cutter, in basic terms), I wanted a consistent way to set the vinyl to fabric. This heat press has pressure adjustment if needed, will allow adjustment of more or less pressure on one side or the other (sort of a "tilt" or warp of the table lift adjustment). There are settings for temperature and time. When closing the press, the timer starts and beeps when time runs out. You have to pay attention so you can open the press when timer goes off. The press works well and I've set multi-layer vinyl patterns on three diffeent t-shirts so far with no trouble. ... show more

I love this heat press and it’s been so easy to use and reliable. This is definitely a great product and worth every penny. It is built solid with quality parts. I’ve pressed several hundreds of shirts now and it has worked amazingly well. I use it for my sublimation tee shirt business. For sublimation I’ve found that *390 is the best temp, medium pressure for 50 seconds. This is such a good press that I had my sister by this exact one too. ... show more

Very good product. Worth every penny. I have no issues out of this product and I am so glad that I purchased it. Update: I have used my press about 20 times for single shirts and the plate has a very hard time staying in place for pressure . The adjustable pressure bar doesn’t hold well and I am constantly having to tighten it. Very disappointed. As this is one of the most important Aspects. ... show more

Awful Awful I do not recommend buying this at all. I was press a large order and nothing but problems .First of all the plate dropped I had to turn it off put on heat gloves and lift the plate and readjust throughout the whole process. I ruined a lot of my product. I am not new to this nor am I a beginner. I thought maybe it's me I didn't place on the right surface so I tried used the press on the floor and not on the a table same problem the plate would drop after two presses absolutely annoying I normally don't fill out the review section but I have to let everyone to beware of this product. ... show more
