BUYER BEWARE IF NEED FOR CELL SERVICE. After receiving the phone, and charging it all night, I took it to the local AT&T store to set up my extra SIM card. Free service with appointment, very helpful people. The tech at AT&T informed me that all phones on all carriers using 3G after February 2022 will be flagged as SUSPENDED. Not just AT&T, all carriers, for the push to 5G. True/Not True? Don't know. This is a concern. The phone was a nuisance to set up when I came home from AT&T. It was slow sluggish (as mentioned by other reviewers) and took over 2 hours to get logged into it and set up Google services. I had to create a new Google account for this phone, since I didn't want it attached to my primary Gmail. Seems this works on the GOOGLE OS. (not sure I read that in the description). I initially purchased this phone as an extra WIFI only phone for our company's hybrid Zoom meetings. Having an extra SIM card laying around was an added bonus. Regarding my first Zoom meeting with the phone... First, I used a wired lavalier, response from other participants was POSITIVE. The phone was set sideways in a cradle and my zoom image was a SQUARE on the participant's side, even though my phone showed full landscape. (fooey). The positives... It is very light! Compared it to my iPhone 12, it seems to be 1/3 of the weight. It's nice that it came with a clear cover and screen protector. (Added bonus!). It connected to the WIFI and held the connection for the entire 1 hour Zoom meeting. 1/2 the battery was drained in that time. The screen is smaller then what I'm used to, so many of the Zoom features were hidden or cut off. During the Zoom, my video square (that overlays the speaker square) kept freezing... not a big deal for a tripod device, but if this is your only Zoom device, it could be problematic. So far, looks like a good extra phone for WIFI use in Zoom hybrid meetings. If my experience improves with this phone, I'll update the review. (Kinda afraid to set up facial recognition since the phone is so sluggish.) ... show more

My flagship phone needs to be send out for repair, didn't have a backup phone so I ordered this to get through a couple weeks until it's back. Pro: - Really cheap, equivalent to renting a phone from Rent-A-Center for minimum duration, which is why I bought it. - Small form factor, if you need a phone that is really small, this is an option. - Runs most apps that I use on daily basis - You can get it in 1 day from Amazon Prime Cons: - Face unlock rarely works, either reports face not detected or recognition failed, it may be fixable via software updates in the future, but if you really want a phone now that actually unlocks with face recognition, you need to get something better. - Android 10 Go, it took away app overlays and split screen, something that run Android 9 is probably more capable than this. - Screen resolution will only allow you to play videos in 480p - Camera app runs at 5-10 fps in both photo mode and video mode, and video taken are also very low frame rate, they might as well not have a back camera to save extra cost. Summary: It should be good enough to be a first phone for young kids, who don't need multitasking features, HD display, good camera, etc. As a temporary phone, I would picked something else that doesn't run Android Go. Purchase this phone for my mother she’s an elderly woman was having problems she didn’t quite know how to use Monday phone so I got her a flip phone and the flip wrong was not good did you pick up reception missed calls went straight to voicemail after three purchases and Amazons great return policy we finally found a phone which worked she could use was easy every 3G as “speed for good speed for Internet access only thing I don’t like is you have to swipe to the left to back out of any kind of page or any app ... show more

This is a good choice as a starter phone or as a temporary replacement. Its performance is not good enough for everyday use except by someone who just needs access to a few features. The Ulefone Note 8 was easy to set up and connected properly. It can load most apps and does the job for an elderly person, which was the purpose we had in mind.     • Perfect for grandchild.
This phone was not something I could use but it was perfect for my 3 year old grandson. It didn't cost me a lot so I wasn't extremely nervous about letting him watch his movies on it. Worked for both of us.
