I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’m very disappointed with the quality. Many of the beads are stuck together and edges are very dry/jagged. So the quality of the bracelet you’re making looks really cheap. Spend an extra $4 and go with another brand.

My granddaughter’s birthday is coming up, and she is getting to be of an age where she has the fine motor skills to do more craft activities. I am so excited to introduce her to jewelry-making with this set! This kit has just about everything I will need to get her started. First, let me give this warning: This kit is crammed into a box that is precisely big enough to hold all the pieces, but no more. OPEN WITH CARE, OR ALL THE BEADS WILL POP OUT! In fact, I suggest that a very patient adult with steady hands be the one to open it. I love the variety in this pack. There are eight brilliant colors of pony beads, four different types of letter beads, 15 types of polymer clay beads and a variety of smiley face beads. The clay beads include patriotic circles, sea life, food, lips, paw prints, hearts, fruit, flowers, stars, butterflies, smiley-face flowers and pet faces. I could do without the two sections of “evil eye” designs, but for some reason that throw-back to the 60s and 70s is a thing now. In addition to beads, there are three different options for cording: Hot pink, blue and white stretchy cord. There’s a very sharp pair of snips for cutting the cord and a sharp pair of tweezers for picking up beads. I thought it was especially clever how the manufacturers tucked the two rolls of white cord into the rings of colored cord to maximize space. This set would be great for a group of elementary school girls to make necklaces or bracelets at a child’s birthday party or sleep-over. It would also be fun at VBS or a youth camp. If you purchase stronger cord and split rings, you could probably use the beads to make key chains or other gifts. Considering the quantity of materials and the quality, this set seems well worth the $16 it’s going for online. Just be careful opening it! ... show more
