This product does take 2 AA batteries. I was trying to find a remote for a Samsung TV that was given to me, and this one worked automatically once I put the batteries in. The buttons do click loudly, but it is a small price to pay for $14.00. I would recommend you to get this remote if you need one!

Lost our remote for our Samsung Tv, well, at least can’t find it yet. My tv has no buttons or switches on it at all, so you have to have a remote to do anything. It was nice to be able to order a replacement and get it within 2 days. This remote works right out of the box, just put in a couple batteries, point and click, and you’re up and running. No syncing or codes to put in, just ready. It looks just like the original one, except for the three bottom app buttons. For the price, this is a great replacement remote for your Samsung tv. I believe I will order another one for down the road should this one grow feet and run away.

I first bought this product about a two weeks ago. Within 10 minutes, the buttons barely worked. I would have to hit a button many times before it would work. I ordered a replacement hoping I had received a defective unit. Sure enough, within 10 minutes the same problem occurred. Coincidence? I don't think so. I sincerely question the 5 star ratings when I had the same problem with two units. Do not purchase this item !!!!
