1st photo is new valve installed. 2nd is a video of my old leaking valve. Used it to replace the heater valve on my1987 Chevy ElCamino. Fit right in place, no cutting or adding heater hose. The only thing I had to do was move the vacuum line a little and reconnect., it works perfectly after hook up. This design utilizes a butterfly type valve. The only possible leak point is on the butterfly shaft so let’s see how it holds up over time. I will repost in the future if it starts leaking. ... show more

This valve works great on my 1955 Mercury 292 Y- Block. Closed until vacuum applied just like OEM, but not subject to big coolant leak like when diaphragm failed on OEM part.
