  • Acceptably Cool in Florida Summer
Other than seemingly not working quite as good as I'd like it to in the worst of the summer months in Florida (which could be a fan and/or coolant issue more than the compressor), this item has been working pretty good for 6-7 months now (knock on wood). Installed into a 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT extended cab (5.2L, 318). Update Jan. 16, 2018.... Compressor still working fine after more than one year in Florida heat. Update Feb. 24, 2019.... Compressor still working fine in Florida heat. Update Dec. 08, 2019.... Compressor still working fine after 2 years of service in Florida heat. ... show more

  • Uneducated, Unprofessional Company That Sells Garbage
This is NOT the right compressor for 2002 and earlier Dodge Rams. The female ports for the compression lines are a millimeter and a half too small. Whoever made and sold this, along with many other Dodge parts, has never measured or researched actual designs and specs for Dodge parts. There is no public transportation where I live and this was a must have item to be able to drive to work, therefore the return process would make me miss weeks of work. I'm now stuck with a $150 belt wheel. This is not the first item I have ordered from this company that "Matches" my vehicle but shows up having the wrong specs. I would not recommend this product or company. I'm pretty disappointed with Amazon as well for allowing such sub-standard dealers to sell garbage products under the Amazon name. ... show more

  • Noisy compressor
The compressor started making a noise a couple of days after it was installed still working but very annoying

  • There is a turbine-like sound coming from the compressor when engaged- not alarming or annoying, but concerning
Compressor fit perfectly on mounting surface, however, the pulley was slightly larger in diameter and I had to do some messing around to get the belt back on. There is a turbine-like sound coming from the compressor when engaged- not alarming or annoying, but concerning. Also, there is a grating noise- noticeable but not loud, when compressor is not engaged. Not constant but, again, concerning. Will have to see how it goes, but for $120.00 it was worth the chance for me. ... show more

2002 Dodge Ram Slt 4x4 and everything lined up except that my tubes did not. I had to remove it and get to a fabrication shop to reborn the holes for the inlet tubes. Costs another $50
