This buildplate works better - for me - than the original Snapmaker U1 buildplate. After each use, I either wash with Dawn dish soap, or wipe clean with 91% isopropyl alcohol - and I have not had ANY problems with filament failing to adhere to this buildplate. In fact, there are times when PCTG has stuck so well, I've had to use the textured side instead of the smooth side, in order to get the pieces off without breaking them. It just works - over, and over, and over again. I would definitely buy again. Easy to clean, easy to use, it works VERY VERY WELL.

My Bambu X1C came with only one PEI texture plate and I wanted a second one to enable rapid turnaround. This works and I'm happy with it even with a tiny issue. It lacks the Bambu coding on the front edge that identifies the plate to the printer during start up. My printer pauses and asks me to verify the plate is in and aligned on the bed plate. I just have to confirm and press continue for it to go on. A bonus is the back side is smooth so a print on the reverse side is smooth on the print. I don't mind the texture look but it's nice to have a smooth option. Use a glue stick on the smooth side per Bambu to ensure it sticks and comes off when you need it to.

I really wanted to like the UniTak3D PEI build plate for the Kobra S1, but after only two months of normal use, it has become completely unusable. The smooth PEI side developed bubbles beneath the surface, creating raised spots that ruin first-layer consistency. These are not minor defects—they make reliable printing impossible. Unfortunately, the textured side isn’t a usable fallback. It is not level with the build plate frame, so it also produces inconsistent first layers. Between the bubbling on one side and the uneven surface on the other, the entire plate is effectively unusable. I’ve gone through normal cleaning and troubleshooting steps, and this is clearly a manufacturing or material failure—not user error. A build plate should last significantly longer than two months, especially under standard printing conditions. This is a core component of the printer, and durability matters. Failing this quickly raises serious concerns about quality control. At this point, I cannot recommend this product. It simply doesn’t meet basic expectations for longevity or reliability.

Perfect for PETG/PETG CF. I don't like using glue on the printer bed unless it's absolutely necessary, like when using TPU or TPU AIR. PETG doesn't stick at all to the stock plate that comes with the A1 Mini, but no issues whatsoever with this new one. Good to have extras anyway.

Fantastic for PLA, very smooth with no adhesion issues. However, DO NOT print with PETG on the smooth side. I printed overnight and my PETG print cooled completely, the surface of the build plate ripped apart when I took it off. Lesson learned

Works almost too well. If you don't let it cool your print isn't coming off very easy. If it does cool, it comes off but takes a little force. I don't use any glues or anything on this thing. Heck I can print multiple prints and not even touch this plate.
