I selected this battery as a balance between capacity and performance vs price for my Mongoose Hitch ebike conversion (Luna/Bafang BBSHD kit, required an XT60 to Anderson adapter to connect the battery to the motor). I've only had it for a week, so I can't comment on durability yet, but the performance is great! I've got a 36 tooth Luna chainwheel and a 11-34 8sp DNP Epoch freewheel, was looking for a compromise between hill climbing capability and reasonable cruising speed. So far, so good. My tests on moderate hills in the bluff country of SE MN have been very satisfying, the battery provides enough punch to comfortably climb all of the hills I have encountered at good speed. I tend not to overstress things too much and use lower gears when appropriate. I went up a steep gravel road , ~1/4 mile ascent, in the Zumbro River Valley in 4th gear with pedal assist consuming 1000W at 10-13 mph in the steepest section, pedaling easily at ~90 RPM. I could have gone faster using the throttle to unleash up to 1500W. Also, I still had 3 lower gears I could resort to if needed, so I felt that the bike could handle a lot more yet. It will get its chance soon in CO and NM! In terms of range: I had extrapolated a range of 54 miles to get down to 20% battery capacity (45.4V) based on observed voltage drops on a couple of 13-17 mile rides, using various assist settings and the throttle (which enabled a top speed of over 35 mph drawing 1500W! I can't pedal fast enough to help out with that, it has to be way more than 120 RPM. My limit of effective pedaling is ~25mph, which seems reasonable to me.) Then an actual measurement: I accumulated mileage of 52.9 miles on one charge -- and the battery was still at 49.1V (~40%) according to my DPC-18 display reading, the battery gauge said 50%. I was mostly using pedal assist in the 200-500W range, with occasional use of the throttle for a little boost going up hills or measuring wide open top speed (did this a couple of times). On relatively level terrain with no wind I consistently ride 20-25 mph in 8th gear, pedaling comfortably with an intensity that my 68 year old body can maintain essentially indefinitely. The bike fully equipped with battery weighs 71.4 lbs., the battery contributed 13.4 lbs. of this. I weigh around 180. This battery with the BBSHD is performing as good or better than I had hoped, I am so far very happy with it! We'll see how it holds up, long term. Update 1/22/2023: I have over 800 miles on this battery now and through the summer months have been routinely getting over 60 miles per charge. I pedal most of the time and generally use about 250 watts of assist, increasing it as needed to flatten hills and using the throttle only occasionally. I found that when the temperature dropped in late fall into the 40's and 30's that this range dropped into the 50's. It is a real MN winter this year with lots of ice and snow and temperatures ranging from the 30's to below 0, so I haven't been riding the bike. I'll be interested in seeing if the range picks back up to 60+ miles this spring. ... show more

Batteries have more power and range than I expected . One battery had an issue and Abby with UPP was very professional and helped me acquire another battery . We will continue to purchase all our e-bike batteries from UPP .

The models which contain the LG 4800 cells are superior to the others, there was a "snafu" with the battery I received, but in the end they made it right.

Completely changed my dual 1000w bike. My bike came with a 48v 23ah battery, this battery completely changed my bike. It has a LOT more range and even a bit more consistant power. So far I am loving this battery!

Had a bit of a problem at first since I didn't measure my bike properly when I ordered the battery. It was just a quarter of an inch too big for my bike. I got creative on a mounting solution to my cargo rack and this thing is awesome. It is a larger capacity than my OEM battery so it more than doubles my range. I mounted mine in a pelican case for convenience, but the battery housing is intended to be mounted externally so it is in a tough housing that is very well-made and durable. The power cable is also durable. While I was experimenting with mounting options one of the straps I tested broke whike riding and I did not notice it right away. This is because the battery was hanging off the bike suspended bt tge power cable and never hit the ground. This is a heavy battery and the fact that the cable did not break or snap is a testament to how well this pack is made. My onky comolaint is tgat tge charger diesnt lock onto the battery while charging, so if you are not careful you can bump the charger and have the cinnector pull away from the battery making the charger think it's done charging. I am thinking about purchashing another one of these now and mounting thrm like panniers on either side of my bike and trippling my range. ... show more

My battery gets here tomorrow 72 volt 20 amp hour I am so excited most people don't know but the real speed begins around 70 volts I have personally built bikes that top 70 mph no lie and do wheelies like crazy my friend has one of these batteries and I've tried about every battery out there it is hands down the best battery I have ever seen we drove to St Pete pier and back he didn't even lose one bar on the battery indicator my bike barely made it back in fact I had to pedal 2 miles I plan to take this battery as the first piece to my insane ebike my next piece will be coming from qs motors to 3,000 w with a savatron controller pure sine wave 80 amps one of the neat features about this battery is that it has a slow bring up rate for the battery power there's no need for a pre-charged resistor so if you have a Kelly controller or a flip sky controller which is badass you won't need to pre-charge resistor the battery doesn't give it full power at once it's slowly brings up the voltage I am so excited tomorrow is going to be an awesome day I've read the reviews almost every single one of them the people that had anything bad to say about I can only say that karma must have just served you a bad dish there must be a reason why because the dish I've seen unbelievable ... show more
