Don't be fooled by the price; this amazingly priced product is the most useful tool you'll ever use. The price may say "I'm a cheap Chinese knockoff," but that's not the case. This product has saved me tickets; I've never gotten a ticket for speeding in a year of using it, and I typically speed over the limit. Cops are very severe in my location, and I believe this is an excellent tool for the price. "What does this offer that that inexpensive wish one doesn't?" you may ask. That would be efficiency I've tested some that I bought from Chinese websites at around the same price, and the Uniden takes the crown in every regard. If you're looking for an affordable radar that just works, I recommend this one ... show more

I drive the highway every day for work so I like to get to where I’m going,( especially when I’m in my Mustang) I had a cobra that worked just fine after several years it finally took a crap. Detects cops pretty well. Seems to mostly pickup around a quarter-mile to half-mile away. Depending on your speed, that gives you around 15-30 seconds. My only complaint is the suction cups. If you finally get them to stick, they stick pretty well, but big bumps could definitely make it fall. A lot of negative review come from people not understanding how radar detectors work. It is NOT a magic cop finder, if a red light sensor or vehicle sensor uses one of the bands that it scans, it will pick it up and start going off. ... show more

This thing has worked better than I could have imagined. It has noticed me of speed guns at least 5 times now and has minimal false positives even in highway mode. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this.

This thing does not always pick up signals. I have messed with the settings and driving on highway mode is definitely your best bet. It’s good as a reminder to slow down, or pull over for emergency vehicles. Not good for avoiding speeding tickets unless you are in open range highway.

However, my experience with the Uniden laser detector was far from satisfactory. Upon receiving the product, I eagerly installed it in my vehicle, expecting it to provide the promised protection against speed traps and radar guns. Unfortunately, the device was damaged and failed to function as intended from the start. To add insult to injury, I received a hefty $300 ticket due to the malfunctioning detector's inability to alert me to nearby speed enforcement measures. Despite reaching out to both Uniden and the seller, I was met with silence and inaction. The lack of response and support from both parties only exacerbated my frustration and disappointment. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Uniden laser detector based on my negative experience.
