I almost didn't buy this tent because of the negative reviews...especially the ones that said I was no good for the beach but I took a risk and went for it. It was a breeze to assemble. I found a YouTube video that showed how to set it up and we added 4-6 sand bags for a bit of extra security on the windy beach. I think it would be a bit tricky to assemble with one person as you sort of need someone to hold the other side while you get the tension poles in. It looked great ! We got a compliment or two. I recently set this up for some shade and wind block on the Oregon coast. Well built shelter and tons of room. If it's windy you are going to need an extra set of hands or it's like wrestling a gorilla. The strap on the carry bag ripped off about 20 yards from the truck. Plan on getting a sturdier carry bag. I had an extra army canvas duffel bag which works great and then you don't have to fight trying to get it back in the zippered bag which is almost impossible. We used this canopy on a weekly basis. Easy to put up and take down once you have got it down. Myself and my 7yr old son can get it done pretty easily now. I get compliments on the canopy every time I have it up. It is large and makes weekly trips to the beach very pleasant. Happy with this product.

Read the previous reviews and decided to try this for an upcoming beach volleyball tournament in Florida. We had a large group of people, which is why I chose the 12 person size. Ordered it a week ahead of time. It was small enough to place it in my checked bag. It weighed about 25 lbs. Put it up at the house first to make sure we understood how to do it. Directions are a little weirdly worded, so I watched the video. Takes two people to set up. Huge size! I bought 4 hearty stakes from the hardware store to really keep it down in the sand. Product needs bigger top vents and the serrated yard stakes that come with kids bounce houses. Thankfully we had those and enough coolers that it stayed out after we put coolers on the corners (in the sun and better that it rolling down the beach a 2nd time). I purchased this for a family beach vacation, and it worked beautifully. Easy to assemble and take down, provided the perfect canopy when the sun was beating down. The only thing that could be better is the length of the stakes. We anchored to beach carts, and it did the trick.

We spend every day on the beach for a week. Set up in the morning and take it down before sunset. Rain or shine. Tent easily withstood Florida beach wind. Used fillable nylon sand bags on all the corners. Even survived a roll down the beach when the wind caught it before I could fill the bags.
