As some have said in reviews, if you have pipes coming though the bottom of your cabinet, this mat wont work unless you do some trimming. Yes if you start cutting the mat it will no longer hold gallons of water. But if your mat is holding that much liquid, you have bigger issues. I cut my mat so it fits and the pipes coming through it. I wanted this mat for minor spills and clean ups. I dont need it to hold the ocean. All you will need is a sharp razor blade and its easy to trim and make fit even if you have a drain and supply lines coming through the base of the cabinet.

I have managed many properties and almost always, someone experiences a leak that isnโt cleaned up promptly staining the wood under the kitchen sink (sometimes even rotting the wood ๐ก). If not water, some sort of cleaning product spills and discolors the wood as well. This mat is great in serving the purpose of protecting the cabinets from such mishaps. Highly recommend this mat. The lip around the edge assist in keeping spills/leaks contained. Easy to take outside and spray off with a garden hose to clean. Dries quickly in the sun! I now have these in all of my personal rentals.

I bought this mat as I recently bought a home which was covered in black mold. All the cabinets had to be replaced. Now I'm paranoid and feel I need to take every measure to protect the cabinets and any where water runs. So every sink has a mat. The one one sink that did not get touched by a plumber ended up leaking underneath. If it was not for this mat my new cabinets would have been covered in water. The little drain was quite helpful as well. Although, I did have to connect a hose to the drain otherwise if I moved the mat in anyway due to the flexibility in material I would have had water everywhere. Perhaps developing an attachable hose would make this product even better!

This was a perfect fit for under the sink. While we have changed what we put under the kitchen sink, this is the best "just in case" something dumps, spills, etc, it won't ruin the base of the cabinet. I accidently ordered 2, so cut the other to fit under pots and pans - might even like that better, and I certainly like it better than shelf liner! So easy to cut. As for durablility, I don't know...yet. But it's silicone, I hope it'll live longer than I do !!
