These are comfortable, lightweight, and allow me to move freely. I can put a phone and wallet in my the pockets and the shorts dont sag. Would buy these again. They also sit right above the knee for me.

High quality fabric, well finished, as you’d expect from this brand, but I find the style of these particular shorts a bit long and a bit baggy for my taste. I’ve worn this brand’s shorts for many years and they’ve fitted perfectly, but this pair feel like boxing trunks. The model they have used in the photo must be an NBA player - or else he’s pulled his shorts up to his navel - because I’m 6’2” and, while they fit well around my waist, these almost cover my knees. I've been searching for months for shorts for my son, whose size in dress pants (when forced to wear them) is 29x34. I first tried the size up of the shorts he had been wearing (also from Amazon), but those shorts were wider but not any longer in the next size up; even if he were into the "show some leg" look, it really isn't flattering when your legs are long and twiggy. Nothing in any brand from any local store was any longer. I'm not even sure how I stumbled on these in yet another desperate Amazon hunt, but I'm glad I did. While he's on the border of XS/S for waist size according to their chart, I actually had to size him up to M. He's likes the relaxed fit and the pockets, and the "tall" size adds enough extra length that my son no longer looks like he's mistakenly wearing his little brother's shorts. Now if only I could find long athletic pants to fit him. (I finally gave up and made some!) *Edit: Hit another growth spurt after 1.5 years of wearing these shorts, so we ordered the next size up. Our first set is still going strong, despite having been worn weekly, almost year-round, and these remain the only shorts that fit him (except Columbia's Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts, which can be purchased with a 10" or 12" inseam). ... show more
