My husband and I just started doing yoga and I was feeling a bit confused with the positioning of my feet. I feel like this mat has helped a lot. We’re using it on carpet in our bedroom so there’s a bit of slippage which I’m sure doesn’t happen on hardwood floors. I’m hesitant to move out to the living room where we have no carpet for fear of the dogs getting involved and messing up the good vibes. The mat works for me and I like that I can roll it up and take it with us for vacation if we choose to. Takes up minimal room in our bedroom when not in use.

I am actually really happy with this mat! It's super soft and does wonders if you have a really hard floor. I live in a dorm so our floors are concrete and the carpet is so rough it used to give me rug burn when I worked out on it!! This mat has saved me from the pain and honestly, this is amazing! Definitely recommend!

PROs: the perfect color, thickness, squishiness, and lines. I really wanted one with guidelines and I appreciate and enjoy using them. Great quality for the price. CONs: not as slip-proof as I need. I do have to concentrate on keeping my hands and feet from slipping in certain postures, and it doesn't stay straight on the floor. My room is carpeted so that is partly on me and my situation. I haven't tried it on hardwood floors so I don't know about that but if you are on carpet, know this is an issue.

Top layer is very fragile if you have pets that get curious about your practice - maybe close the door during yoga class otherwise their claws EASILY can damage the mat. The grip is also not super great on it, I have slid a little during downward dog

I can stretch completely and still fit on the mat. I love the purple color and get so many compliments when I am using it. The purple and light fuscia backing may appear feminine to some, but if you are comfortable with who you are, like me, and you like the colors, then you should get this color. The lien in the mat are great for beginners that need a guide for placement of their limbs while doing the yogas.

I usually use these super expensive but super thick mats from the yoga studio. This was nowhere near so expensive, but still thick enough that I can kneel on it without hurting my (rather old and arthritic) knees. The direction lines are great for people like me who don't really know any more how straight feels.

The reason we ordered this mat was because the old ones we had slipped and were slippery. This one is not and does not. It is by far and away the best mat we've used. The markings to show you where to put your hands and feet are also very helpful. I would buy again for sure!
