The media could not be loaded. We just got our first cats about 4 months ago, and we are always looking for new toys to keep them entertained. This Cat Ball toy seemed to fit the bill... On arrival, I charged it up with the included USB-A to USB-C cable and powered it up for one of them. He seemed intrigued. He tends to sit back while the tail is whipping around and then when the tail stops, he liked to move in and nudge it. The other cat (the gray one in the video), doesn't seem quite as interested. The striped cat likes to pick it up by the tail and wander off with it! I find that putting it in the "interactive" mode works pretty well - if they get bored and wander off, it doesn't just keep running. I think this is a pretty good toy - the ball itself seems quite durable, but I do have concerns about the tail. it came with two of them. After just a day of usage, the first tail is unraveling quite a bit (about 3"). I don't think this is going to last long at all at that rate. The photo attached to this review shows the condition of the first tail (attached to the ball) after just a day of use. The other tail (still unused) is shown in the foreground, still wrapped with a rubber band. I may try taking a lighter to the end of the second tail and see if the material melts together, but it doesn't look like the sort of material that will do that well. If the tails fall apart after a very short time, I will have to come back and update this review to reduce my rating. The tails are what make this ball work! Four stars (for now) due to concerns about the longevity of the tails - but otherwise fun for the cats!

I have three cats, and two of them completely ignore this toy. The haven't batted it or chased it. The third watches with curiosity from a distance and has only poked it a few times when it stopped. The toy has one behavior where it twitches and makes noises like it might be an injured bird, and I'm surprised that hasn't proved more interesting. My personal conclusion is that this toy is a dud for our household, but cats are fickle and your mileage may vary.

There is nothing not to love about this cat toy. It is, hands down, providing the most fun I've ever seen my guys have with anything that isn't a red dot. This is my second one -- and I've no doubt I'll pick up more as time goes on. (Toward Christmas, I'll be buying them for my friends who have cats. It's an affordable and unique gift.) This gadget is small, comes with an extra "tail" that wiggles and waggles, and a short charging plug. (You can use any USB-C cord to charge it, though.) It has three settings that are easy to see as they flash against the rubbery silicone-coated ball. Blue is fast, purple is slow, yellow is interactive. If you put the toy on the floor, it will go all over the place, with a tendency to bounce and circle. The "tail" waggles and twitches just right to drive a kitty cat crazy. I Like the slow speed or the interactive mode. I often put the ball (which has some weight to it) in the cup holder on our sofa and leave it on interactive. A cat or a human brushes by it and it starts twitching and bobbing and wobbling -- and the cats go nuts. It works on any surface. We have a faux fur throw on the bottom of our bed and it even works on that. It has a soft chirping bird sound (that you can turn off) that lets me locate the toy when they take off with it. I'll never turn that sound off because it means that I can find it even if they shove it under the couch. The charge lasts a long time and you can turn the entire thing off easily. I'd give it ten stars if I could. It's the first electronic toy (other than the red dot) that my cats are interested in any time they play. Nothing else has ever come close.

The media could not be loaded. This toy does exactly what it's meant to do... it speeds along (at three different speed options) and drags a yarn "tail" behind it to mimic a rodent in order for your cat to have independent play. It's very straightforward: plug the ball into a plug using the USB-C cord to charge. Once charged, attach the one (of two) tails and push the Power button for different speeds. The first time I attached the tail and tossed the toy onto the ground, the tail popped off. It's not the most secure... I wish there was a clicking mechanism to ensure the tail is locked on. Anyway, it worked fine... however, my cat lost interest in about 3.5 seconds.

This toy is unique and breath of fresh air. Most cat toys you get, whether low priced or higher end is just feather, bells and balls, typically. My cats loves those things, but the more unique toys typically are too complicated for my cat, or too fast moving and scare my cat before she gives it a chance to play with it. This toy has two speed modes, so you can make it act and move slower, which I love, and it also has a speaker built-in that chirps and make squeaks as well as the motor that moves the ball all over the place. This is a fun, well done, rechargeable toy that you can make fast or slow depending on the play style of your cat. Great idea and execution!

This is a great cat toy! I have never seen one like it! it charges on a usb cord and when it is charged, it really plays! It has 3 modes you control with a button on the toy. It lights up and has a "tail" that spins and moves the whole toy around. It changes speed and moves kind of randomly, so it appears alive and the cat I have never tired of playing with it. It also makes chirping sounds! Works on any surface. What fun!

I was very skeptical that this would work on carpet, but, it works perfect. I charged this up and then gave it to my cats, I have three, and the two boys could not stop playing with this. They were entertained for a couple hours before they got distracted and after a bit they came back to play with it again. This is a must have if you have very active cats or kittens.
