I have been following Umidigi for a while now, I got interested in them a few years ago when I needed a new phone and the F1 and F1 Play were packed with all the features I was looking for in a price that didn't make your eyes hurt. Now I have the Umidigi F2 and it is the best smartphone I've owned, not because it has everything that you could ever want but because it has nearly everything in the same low cost package. The Umidigi U Buds were the obvious choice for trues wireless earbuds as soon as they were available. With the over a day of battery with normal use and the good (remember, not the greatest but...) sound quality and the comparable noise cancellation that I've seen from other brands, the one takeaway is, for the price, you aren't going to find anything much better and if fact, you're really just going downhill from here in terms of quality or uphill with respect to the price. The sound quality is on par with many other manufacturers that I've tried that come with higher cost but I'm not detecting the nuances in the differing styles of violin parts of symphonies. I watch movies on airplanes, music while on the job, phone calls while driving and YouTube videos while in bed with my wife. For these operations I have nothing but high marks - ***** Battery life is better than I had anticipated going several days before needing a recharge but used as described above. I don't wear them all day like eyeglasses but I do use them quite frequently. Type C connector and individual indicators for the two earpieces through the app - ***** Noice cancellation is a loaded term, there are two forms, active and passive, but when people hear it, they only think of the first one, active. Active noice cancellation involves "listening" to the noises around the wearer and actively producing inverted sound waves that cancel out the ones being "heard" by the devices microphone. These do not have active noise cancellation or, if they do, I have not been able to figure out how to activate that feature. They do possess (as does anything that you shove into your ears) a passive noice cancellation by acting as a barrier between the ambient noises in your environment and you ear drum. Think sticking your fingers or ear plugs in, they reduce the volume of your surroundings but are not actively generating complimentary sound waves to negate those around you. All earbuds, headphones, earmuffs, small rodents and Lego pieces can have this listed as a feature if you just need to jam something in your hear holes to help reduce the din or your situation but at least these are comfy (especially compared to the rodent) and play something you do want to hear instead of just screaming in rodent speak. - **** Overall, I would buy these again if I lost them because for the price you can do much worse, but would be hard pressed to do much better ... show more

First what's in the box: Earbuds, charging case, carrying pouch, short charging cable, manual. Summary: I've bought a bunch of budget ear buds in a similar price range and tested many side by side. These Umidigi buds are some of the best sounding I have heard in this price range and higher. That really says a lot. They have software to control and change tap functionality and sound equalization. Overall I really enjoy them and would recommend them. Will update later after extended use. But so far impressed. Hardware design: These earbuds do not have replaceable rubber tips to fit various ear canal sizes and shapes. Very similar in design to Apple airpods for in ear fit. The touch control is sensitive and works well overall - with quirks. The charging case is open top and gloss black is beautiful but fingerprint magnet. There is no lid to cover and hold the buds. The buds are held into the charging case with magnets. This will allow debris into the charging contacts in the future if the protective pouch isn't used. The cable is very short (less than 1ft) and red in color. Not the most useful unless you charge with a laptop. Functionality: As mentioned earlier these are some of the best sounding earbuds in the budget under $50 category. In fact for the regular sale price I think it is the best sounding. However with touch controls, it isn't the most intuitive even with the ability to change function. Why? There is no 1 tap functionality!?!? Everything is 2 or 3 tap, or long press. No one tap. By default 2 tap to receive and drop calls. Or play\pause music. 3 taps on right side for gaming mode (low latency) And 3 taps on left (voice assistant), the long press right and left to change tracks forwards and back. Calls are clear and mic quality is decent. Noise cancelling will depend on fit to your ears since these do not come with or support different size ear rubber\foam. I had my kids try it and they fit them fine but in my ears they did not seal as well. However, the sound was still very good. Even better if I pushed it a little to my ears so YMMV. Software: What set these apart from others is the ability to change tap functionality and equalization. Well sort of....... The software only allows customization of double and triple taps. No ability to change long press or add 1 tap. The equalizer changes the setting too much including the amplification level so I tend to turn it off and enjoy it at factory settings. For me the triple taps functionality is not all that useful so changed them to vol+- which is something all my other earbuds had from the factory with one tap or other tap sequence. Recommendations for improvement: Support vol+- 1 tap in next firmware update. Allow customization of long press and 1 tap. Add a lid to the charging case like all other brands. If dropped it'll provide protection and prevent the buds from flying out. That's it! I love these and highly recommend them as is especially at their sale price. Best sounding budget buds!
