Wow. What a great deal. These panels turned my bedroom music space into a studio space! They are incredible at absorbing reflections. My studio monitors sound like they should now. Most of the sound is concentrated in the stereo field instead of being reflected back behind me. To my ears it sounds like there's a sound bubble around my monitors. No tools needed to hang them either. The adhesive on the back is incredibly strong. I would recommend using a level though, as once they're in place there's no moving them. I learned my lesson the hard way on the first one. It looked level where I was but then as soon as I viewed it a bit further back it was clearly crooked. There's nothing I can do about it either because the adhesive is so strong. ... show more

These are pretty nice 2" thick 11 1/2 x 23 1/2 panels which do look very nice behind my monitors. they have a neatly stretched HQ fabric with no odd corners or overlapping seams that are commonly found on many similar panels. I also like the beveled front edge design as this gives it a more polished look then a standard square edge. They have double sided tape on the back so you can stick them to your wall, however I did not use it that way and opted to use command strips instead to be safe. Do they work? Yes they do, although a little smaller then I wanted they do absorb the reflected sound from my monitors which does make the sound I get in the room more natural then without them in place. I feel they are a bit pricey for the size but that said at least they are well made. (See Pic) I really do like them they work well and are aesthetically pleasing. So if your in the market you may want to try these out. ... show more

There is enough adhesive options on the back that you can use to stick on wall but if you want or need to move it later on you can move it again. Plenty of available adhesive on the back. I ordered 8 panels in 2 separate orders and all and each panel has fallen off the walls. I wiped down the walls’ surface before attaching any of the panels with the self adhesive they come with and even with a smooth non textured wall surface they still do not stay on the wall after a few days. One thinks they will stay on because they do not fall off right away, but it happens after a couple of days. well built and light but they are horrible to attach and keep on the walls. I can not recommend them if they do not stay on the walls to do the job they were designed to do. ... show more

I've used these for testing my speaker projects sound characteristics. Although I did not use the adhesive to mount to the wall, I rent, I have them freestanding a few feet adjacent to the speaker drivers in a V angle. They did a great job in stopping sound reflections and echoes of higher frequencies from bouncing on the walls and getting accurate readings for the capability of the driver. Both of the absorption panels received are built well with no defects I found and no factory smell. They are handsome as a pair, but if your into artistic design they have other colors to choose from and look very elegant in multiple sets of different colors.     • Works Ok to dampen small empty room. Adhesive sucks, not suitable for acoustic tuning a music room.

These panels are a bit too small to be effective and requires at least 4 sets to cover a speakers' reflection point which turns out to be too expensive and an eye sore. BTW, these are not meant for "sound proofing". These are meant for the acoustic tuning of a "lively" room. While they look the part of professional wood frame acoustic panels, the build construction and standard dimensions are off. Unlike the the professionally built panels, these Umiacoustics panels are very dense and small. They do not have the recommended air gap behind the wall and frame making it ineffective for low frequency absorption. Basically, the cheap foam sold all over amazon does the same thing these expensive panels do. These Umiacoustics are mostly for decoration. my enthusiasm waned when it came to the adhesive on these panels. Frankly, it's subpar. I had issues with panels not adhering properly, and some even started to peel off after a short period. This adhesive problem was a significant inconvenience during the installation process. The glue is terrible and It requires a mounting bracket and im not stoked about drilling my soundproofed room. I spent a lot of my money constructing it and do not want to drill drywall screws on these expensive walls. In terms of performance, these panels fall short of delivering a significant impact. While they do dampen the room to some extent, the noticeable reduction in flutter echoes is only marginal. The effectiveness is more subtle than I had hoped, and the impact on overall sound quality isn't as pronounced as I expected. Considering these drawbacks, the Fiberglass Sound Absorbing Panels might not be the best choice if you're specifically looking for strong adhesive properties and substantial reduction in flutter echoes. While they look sleek, these panels fall short on 3 features, which is: Adhesion (weak), Value (too pricey for what it does), Absorbancy (Too dense and solid). ... show more
