I have a latex rubber allergy. This product didn't cause any negative response. Instructions are clear, minimal, great packaging. This is a small business and product is amazingly comfortable. I was surprised how much the band helped, but there is only one way to fix a hernia: through surgery. This might work under a weight belt if you squat. I wore the belt all day, under loose shirt for work and both over a workout shirt for a workout and against the skin. It does make a little warmer than natural skin, and it is properly fitting, a great size, and supports like it should. It's just that there is no substitute for correction. With insurance and medical providers denying a hernia repair this can help make it a little more comfortable. Just know it won't make it go away. This item hasn't needed laundering yet. It is so helpful, for the first time my tummy felt normal while wearing the belt and strong. The level of support is remarkable and comfortable.

I have an umbilical hernia that has been getting worse for several years. It is difficult and scary to try to gently squeeze a plum-size section of intestine (full of semi-digested food) back into your abdomen where it belongs. While I await surgery to correct this condition, I am enjoying the relief provided by the Belltop Hernia Belt. The belt is about 5 inches wide, made of a strong, stretchy, breathable material that adjusts and closes using overlapping hook-and-loop ends. It has two built-in vertical reinforcement strips that maintain the 5-inch width while the belt is worn. The hernia is kept in check by an adjustable oval pad with a bump in the middle. These features make the belt surprisingly effective yet comfortable while I waiting a surgical cure for this condition. I highly recommend it.

Bought this for my husband to try before having surgery. He said it was really itchy and uncomfortable. If he wore it over a shirt, it wouldn't work properly. Returned because he wouldn't wear it.

While waiting for my surgery I first used the "Tonus Elast Umbilical Navel Hernia Belt" (also from Amazon) which gave wonderful support but it stressed my back muscles, plus it lacked fabric stays to keep it from constantly rolling up while wearing it. THEN finding this "Belltop umbilical hernia belt" was wonderful by comparison. Lightweight but strong, and its fabric stretches generously. It has better velcro grip. It stretches with my movements. Far less stressful to my back muscles. And its built-in fabric stays (slightly rigid sections) prevent it from rolling up (which was a major problem with the Tonus belt). Feels "next gen." Forget that I have it on. Hope this helps you, as you shop!

Adjustable with wide Velcro strips on both ends. Flexible enough to sit with and snug enough to hold hernia in. I use without the pad as it makes it too stiff.
