The first thing about this rug that stands out is the size. It is shaped more like a rectangle and looks more so in real life than in the ad pictures. It looks fine where I put mine in the kitchen but it might be a weird size for another room. The color is also much lighter than in the picture, mine is almost a white gray instead of a gray. I was hoping for darker shade but at least this is somewhat easy to put in the washing machine if something gets spilled on it. The updated antiskid is mediocre and unless something heavy is on the rug, it will still move. But this rug is glorious to walk on! It is so soft and plushy that it makes my feet happy! I have this rug under my kitchen table (that we hardly use) but I find myself sitting there just to feel the rug on my feet. Overall, it's a nice rug and I would recommend! ... show more

Ordered this for my little mans room, so excited about it. It is so soft and not so thick that things can get lost in it. Love the rug grips at the bottom of the rug. Rug seems like it would be easy to toss into the washer as well. I did let it air out for two days before disinfecting and putting him on it as it had a very strong scent on it as most rugs do. ... like you just got a block of contraband. LOL. Once unpacked it does unfold into a very lush area rug. The listing shows that it has "shock absorption". While it does have a bit of padding, I wouldn't call it "shock absorbing". The padding is about as thick as a couple of t-shirts. The underside does have a rubberized pattern which should help it stay in place. Otherwise not bad, but if you're looking for something a bit thicker, look elsewhere. ... show more

I love this rug. It has a long, deep shag that is very luxurious to the touch. The fabric feels very comfortable and soft. The white color is beautiful and matches any decor. The rug is also a good size- I ordered the 5x7- to fit in a smaller bedroom or larger bathroom. The rug has a non skid backing that so far has held very well onto our slippery hardwood floors. The rug is white, so it does show dirt very easily. It is fairly easy to clean by shaking it out. If something sticky fell on it, though, it would be difficult to get it out of the shag. The shag does crush down pretty easily. If I wanted to get really picky, the backing to the rug isn’t very thick, so you can still feel the floor a bit through the rug. This doesn’t bother me, but it’s something to keep in mind. ... show more

This carpet is made of a very, very soft and plushy material. It's just the right amount of shaggy and softer than your softest blanket. The size is perfect for my needs and I'm really, really happy with it. The ONLY reason it's getting 4/5 stars is because it is marketed like it has a lot of cushion - it doesn't, it's still pretty thin overall so if this is something you're buying for your kids to play on (I'm not) then you'll still need to put some foam under it or something to make sure their falls are protected. The media could not be loaded. This rug is as described and for this price point it is almost reasonable. I removed one star for the fact that it does not have a standard rug backing. The backing of the rug is a bath mat material. It is actually thinner than some bath mats I have had. There is the same type of sticky dots on the bottom so it won't move around. And the backing is spongy like a bath mat would be. The pile is reasonable and it is soft. I don't expect this to be a long lasting rug, but if it's in a less traffic area or you have a large bathroom, this is a good alternative. ... show more
