This rug is super duper soft. It's like the old shag carpets but way softer. I would not say it is thick or dense, the fibers are pretty thin where you can see the backing pretty well. It is cushioned and very soft to walk on, and the backing has some anti-slip stuff but not really that grippy. This rug fits in our washing machine. It's not top quality, but it works for our rental home just fine.

This is really amazing! For just over $20, this super soft, silky, non-shedding cushioned rug in a 4x6 size? Yes! And it looks great! And feeeels great! I haven't tried washing it, yet. I am placing this between two beds in a rental, so I needed something soft and warm underfoot, that looked great and didn't shed too much...bonus for quality and washability. So far this has checked all the boxes, with washability still needing verification. I won't wash it until necessary, though.

You must take care while opening the package, so as not to damage the rug. ➡️Under normal lighting conditions, it really *is* black to the naked eye. But when photographed, the fibers exhibit a light sheen. ✅The anti-shedding claim seems to hold up. ✅The "sponge middle layer" adds to the plushness of the rug. ✅The value proposition is good. We ordered this for our walk-in closet. It’s marketed as soft and plush, but I would not consider it plush. It is very, very thin and required a pad underneath it to comfortable to walk around on. The fur like shag is very very soft. Color is true and books just like the picture. It came folded up, so took a few days to flatten. It takes down very well with floor stickies so I recommend getting some of those to help you straighten it out. Overall, the price matches, the quality you receive. Not sure I would use this in a high traffic area or an area where you were looking for a padded space. For example, I wouldn’t use this as a play area because if they fell over, they would hit their head on the hard floor below the rug with little padding. Just a note. Recommend a carpet pad underneath.

This rug is great. Perfect for my daughters room. This rug is reasonably priced. I can get by with it in the location I put it. It is quite thin and has very little padding. I got it for my basement studio so I could have a comfortable place to put my feet up. Although the shag material is simple to shake out, I'm hesitant to use a vacuum on it directly. Fortunately, there is no problem with dirt or heavy traffic where it is situated.

This rug looks better from a distance than it does up close. It is definitely soft. However, the fuzzy seems kind of clumpy and thin--the fibers themselves are thin, and they are not packed in very densely. It was hard to photograph, but it's not hard to see the backing through the plush. The backing is also just fabric. If the little brown dots add any anti-slip properties, it is minimal, because this rug moves around. BOTTOM LINE: It is soft. However, it is definitely on the cheap end of fuzzy rugs.
