I read so many great reviews on this product. My husband was diagnosed with tonsil cancer 3 months ago and he started treatment 6 weeks ago. We are currently on week 7. I can tell you that the doctor's have made several comments on how they can't believe how good my husband's neck looks after 30 radiation treatments. In the beginning, I put the cream on in the morning and at night. Eventually that wasn't enough (you can tell because the redness doesn't go away like it did in the beginning). After about 3 weeks, I started using the cream (on my husband) 3 times a day. Morning, night and right after radiation. I would put a thick layer too. Be careful, the cream does stain the shirt a little bit. For my husband, he needed a total of 3 Radiation Cream's for his 7 week treatment (35 Radiations). I know it's pricey but dang, it's worth it. I'm praying for every person who needs this cream. I promise you will get through this.... you WILL be on the other side of this. You're not alone. Wishing you comfort during this time.

I’m currently undergoing radiation, and discovered this product in my search for a cruelty free alternative to Aquaphor. This morning I took it with me and showed it to my doc. In a nutshell: Pros Pleasant lavender scent (if you don’t mind fragrance) Cons My radiation oncologist said the ingredients are basically okay, but in order to protect the skin, the texture is wrong. This is most definitely a lotion, whereas it should be more ointment. The way she explained it is that it needs to form a protective layer that sits on the skin to prevent the accelerated water loss caused by the radiation, and this product doesn’t. She said it’s fine to use, but I need something else as well. Which defeats the purpose for me. So I am disappointed, particularly given the cost.

I bought this cream when I had sores all over my lips. My dermatologist had biopsied my lip and the results indicated inflammation. Since I was in the Florida sunshine all day I began covering my lips and used this cream a few times a day. My lips finally healed but the real surprise was when my husband and I began using the cream on our bruises. We both have thin skin and playing pickle ball or working in our shrubs means constant bruises which usually take weeks to heal. Using this cream has healed our bruises in less than a week. We won’t let ourselves run out of this product. I am super sensitive to fragrance and this product has no fragrance whatsoever.

I completed 30 radiation treatments and started on the prescription ointment prescribed by my radiation oncologist. It helped a bit but immediately my gums started bleeding. I was allergic to the sulfa in the medication. Then my only choices were aloe vera and Aquaphor. Both of which I had used 17 years previously when I had breast cancer before. I wondered why no one had come up with a better treatment since then. I ordered this product because the reviews were so good. I applied it immediately after it arrived and the next day my burns went from dark red to pink. In the course of applying it daily for less than three weeks, all my burns have healed and my skin is almost normal looking after only a month. I highly recommend this product and sent a picture of it to my doctor's nurse suggesting that they recommend this product to their other patients. I am very allergic to scented products so I was thrilled to find that this product had an unscented version which is what I used.
