What a beast of a mic stand. I feel like if I bumped into this, I would be the one to fall over. The boom arm can slide into whatever angle you want and the base stays sturdy and firm. What makes this the best mic stand for me is the brilliant positioning mechanisms. Loosening and tightening them is a massive design improvement from other mic stands. There is this one spot where the boom connects to the mic stand that has a narrow attachment instead of a robust one, but it doesn't seem to have any flaws I can find. I don't need another one of these, but I'm tempted to get one just in case I couldn't find this brand again in the future. It's just that good. ... show more

    • Sturdy and Flexible
For me, it always comes down to the locking mechanism on mic stands and this is one of the best designs I've seen. When you tighten down on it, it gets progressively firmer and you don't feel like you need to ratchet it down much for it to hold. One mechanism controls the angle and the boom position at the same time which is nice. I normally have telescoping stands so this is my first rigid one. I'm still getting use to it. I've been able to configure it in just about every position I've needed and stays put even with the boom all the way out. The feet are nice and wide but are also low to the ground and out of the way.
