I ordered the medium and the foot portion fits perfect, I'm a size 7 with a muscular calf, avid skid. The top of sock sits just below the knee cap. A Good quality sock for skiing in good weather. Although they were fine, but as usual my big toe was pretty cold skiing at 28 degrees F. If it had been zero degrees, I would need a different sock made with mostly wool. If you're an "all weather skier", at zero degrees your toes might greet really cold. Athough the toe portion is thicker than the rest of the sock. The socks are very comfortable and appear to be durable, just not as warm as wool. But then a lot of skiers don't like thick wool socks. All in all its a good ski sock!     • super warm and comfy but not what I'd call lightweight
I bought these socks because I need warm, lightweight socks to wear with close fitting ski boots. I won't return them because for every day socks, they are wonderful. However, they are advertised as lightweight. These are heavy duty socks. Great socks...just not as advertised, which is why I only gave 3 stars. ... show more

I ordered two pairs of Ultimate Socks, Women's Lightweight Merino Wool Ski Snowboard Performance socks - one pair of black and one pair of teal. The teal socks appear to be made of higher quality materials - warmer and more durable. The black pair of socks are lighter weight and somewhat cheap feeling. I understand that socks don't need to be "thick" to be warm, however the difference in quality between the two pairs of socks is quite apparent, and the percentage of "Merino Wool" in the socks are questionable. I wear a size 7 and these were a little long for my foot. They were comfortable otherwise, not too thick or too thin. Not itchy, not too tight. My toes still got cold but I was skiing in about 20-30° weather so I'm sure most people's toes were cold. Overall they were decent socks for the price considering my husband paid $26-$36 for a pair of socks from REI and his toes were cold too. ... show more

I really like these socks a lot for in my boots in the winter and especially for watching my son play hockey. They help my feet stay warmer even in the freezing rink for an hour plus drive time. Highly reccomend. I usually wear a size 10 women's shoe but the size up to 9.5 fits just right imo.

I've come to expect clothing to not be as good anymore but this surprised me! The fit was good and nothing bunched up in my ski boot like other socks have. Plus the material feels nice and not scratchy. It's definitely a ski sock I'll purchase again now that I know its quality and fit.

the fit is tight (my feet are 240 size) but the biggest problem for me was that the textile is quite.. coarse? itchy? rough? especially around the shin. the edge of green diamond part irritated my skin and i almost got blisters after a day of skiing with these socks. may work with other sports when not pressed to the skin much. ... show more

I purchased these for skiing. They worked great. I didn't need sock liners or warmers in my boots. These took care of that for me! I will be purchasing them again in a heavier weight for the lower temperatures.
