    • Good book, bad blurb
So, I really enjoyed the book. Excellent character development, good battles, good progression. However, I’m actually really annoyed at the book blurb … one part of what was in the blurb didn’t happen until about 90% of the way through the book. That’s not a tease, that’s a spoiler.

Good book and story there's some things I didn't like but overall the story is a good on one thing I don't care for is despite having dark moments its clearly a teen series like the author is censoring himself so younger people can read which is super lame

    • For The Love Of A Good Book
There are books out there that you read and enjoy. Then there are books that you love and read more than once. But rarely, there are books that create a world that you can see when you read them. The characters feel like friends and you cry and laugh with them. Max and his party, his family, are more the words on paper (or a screen) for me. I’ve waited for each book to be released so that I can feel that connection with them again. I know one day the story will end, and I will be sad. But until that day I will enjoy the time with them, watch them grow and overcome the challenges before them. I can think of nothing greater that can be said of a writers work than to create that for his readers. I will wait to see my friends again, and hope that more will find the joy I have found with this series. ... show more

This series is developing nicely. Nice progression, max actually has to back down from a fight and the team is back together again. Saying all that and the 5 star rating I have to say that we can probably slow down the progression or add more on the various tower floors and encounters are happening. More detail and more scope of the challenges. Otherwise a fine addition to the series as a whole. ... show more
