THE PRODUCT: The Megaboom 3 was sufficiently loud. The sound was not great; it was a bit dull and sounds like a louder version of a $30 speaker I bought 10 years ago. It's a good speaker, but the sound wasn't as bright as I expected it to be. Personally, I value sound quality over volume. VENDOR: When I redirect the item, the box looked aged and worn. I don't really mind, because I usually just toss it anyway. The rubberized ends were beaten and used. The black rubber color had discoloration due to fatigue. The ends were also scuffed. The charging end of the charge cable looks as though it was torn off, since it was just several bare and bent wires sticking out. Their were some minor stains on the speaker fabric. It seems like something bought at a yard sale. I returned it and reordered with no issues, except the replacement product was not even shipped out yet on the date it was supposed to be delivered. I then asked for a refund and was granted one immediately. I normally get renewed products and they look and work like new. This one seems like it was hastily inspected (if at all) and shipped without QA control. ... show more

I just received this product and it says "Demo unit - Not for Sale". Haven't used it yet but that's concerning. Item came in a cardboard box (unbranded) and contained the speaker wrapped in bubble wrap, a USB-A to micro-USB cable, and a wall outlet to USB-C brick, so I can't use the included cables to charge the speaker. ... show more

I purchased a Creative Sound Roar ll about 5 years ago as I was truly impressed with the sound quality and its features. No apps then. Fast forward to 6 months ago and bought the newer Creative Sound iRoar as it had new unique app features. Received. Apps did not work at all. Company admitted it with no plans to fix. Moved on. Spent a good deal of time looking for another Bluetooth speaker that truly sounded good. Read all the reviews I could find. Was ordering without the ability to hear a demo at a retailer. Picked the Mega Boom 3. Was concerned its cylindrical design would give me a more mono sound stage. I wanted a stereo sound. But reviews indicated design delivered. Received and after a few weeks, this unit has exceeded expectations. Simple but usable app. Great stereo sound field as well. Handles low bass content without distortion. I could not believe how awesome the sound is that comes out of this speaker it’s just incredible and the app rocks as well. I’d definitely recommend this speaker if you want really rocking incredible sounds it’s the closest to being in a real concert. Just awesome!

Incredible sound in a small package. Great battery life and connects eaisily to my other Ultimate Ears Boom 3 speaker. I ordered it thinking it had an Aux jack (I read that it had one it in a review, not the company's info). I needed to use it on a non-bluetooth device so that was a dissapointment, but it was my own fault. If it had an aux jack I would give it a perfect score. ... show more

I haven't had many Bluetooth speakers before. I have had a jbl pulse 2 and a soundcore flare 2 prior to this. In my opinion, this blows the other two away when it comes to sound quality. However, it is worth noting that there is not an aux port available on the megaboom 3. Everything you do is purely through Bluetooth or the buttons on the speaker itself. Really good battery life. I can turn it on from an app. of course, there are better speakers out there but I believe that for its size and sound quality, it is a solid choice to purchase. I would also like to mention that I purchased mine refurbished if that means anything to you. ... show more
