    • Solid Speaker
Color: Black
I mainly chose this speaker because I have other UE speakers that would pair easily with it. And also for it's ruggedness water proof qualities. I like the color scheme as well. The build quality is exactly what I expect from UE being built very well. I've seen some people say it's big and a bit heavy but honestly, I don't think it's too heavy at all and I'm able to throw it in my backpack very easily if I wanna take it anywhere. The built in magnetic carry strap I'm sure helps with toting it around. I also appreciate the upright design vs the more spread out design of something like the JBL speakers because it takes up less space on a dresser or shelf. The sound quality to me is pretty good for what it is. I've not tested it at full volume yet as I've mostly used it in my bedroom so far and I have to keep the volume down as to not disturb my neighbors. But at about 25% volume, it sounds very punchy and crisp with the highs. It handles mid bass extremely well, but the low bass isn't as distinct. But that's to be expected with a speaker of this size. Overall, it's enough to resonate through whatever surface it's sitting on. I've also noticed that the acoustics of the room you're in effect the sound too. It sounds much better in a larger room vs something like the bathroom. And having it in a corner helps too as the mid/tweeter speakers are off to the sides while the woofer is in the front. Outdoor mode I really don't care for, but I haven't actually tested it outside so I'm not sure if it really helps or not. The battery life seems to be good too. I've been using it for 2 weeks now without charging it and have only used 1 bar out of the 3 on the battery indicator. I haven't had any connectivity issues at all. And it has an NFC function where you can tap your phone on the top of the speaker to turn it on and pair it automatically. I'll probably update my review once I can take the speaker somewhere and REALLY turn it up with some different genres of music. Other than that, I like it a lot and I recommend giving it a look. ... show more

    • Easy to use, the charge lasts a long time and very very loud especially for its size .
Color: Black
Great sound especially outdoors. Very loud. I took it to an outdoor pickleball party. There were eight courts going .. Three other speakers were playing music .I could have drowned they others out but didn’t think it would be polite . I took it with me on vacation and it was perfect for streaming music and listening to baseball games in the AirBnB . It seems pretty rugged but I would recommend purchasing the carrying case to protect it during travel and the straps make it easy to carry. . Also, be warned that a charging cable is not included . Please don’t ask me what type of cable. I used the same one I use to charge my wireless ear buds but I don’t know what it’s called I’m sure it says somewhere in the description The charge lasts a long time. Seventeen hours I believe. ... show more

    • UE Has been Slept On
Color: Black
I had this for a while now and it's absolutely Incredible. U can full blast this thing and will not distort which is really good. The sound on this is really good, amazing bass and it has an app to tune it to your liking. And it lasts for a long time as well. I take this mostly everywhere I go. U can pair this with other 150 speakers. A little pricey but worth it IMO. EPICBOOM........I Love it. ... show more

    • Loss in audio quality compared to 10 year old UE products.
Color: Black
I’ve been a UE customer for well over a decade, and that’s really where my disappointment comes from. The EPICBOOM isn’t a bad speaker. It’s just not the upgrade I was expecting. After comparing it with my MEGABOOM 3, I found that the core speaker hardware is essentially the same. Maximum output is also nearly identical, so don’t expect a dramatic increase in volume. In real-world listening, the speaker is already working pretty hard around 70% volume, which makes comments about 25–35% volume being “plenty loud” somewhat irrelevant if you’re buying this for outdoor use or larger gatherings. What surprised me most was the change in the acoustic design. For years, UE built its reputation around a forward-facing driver arrangement with 360-degree sound that delivered a consistent presentation from almost any angle. The EPICBOOM shifts more of the soundstage toward the left and right while keeping the woofer forward. It’s not necessarily worse, but it’s a noticeable departure from the signature UE sound I’ve enjoyed for years. There are certainly some modern conveniences like USB-C, updated software features, and a few quality-of-life improvements. However, from an audio and hardware perspective, I don’t hear the kind of leap I’d expect after so many years between products. At over 50% off, I’m satisfied with my purchase and will keep it. At full retail price, though, I would have returned it. If you already own a MEGABOOM 3, I don’t think the EPICBOOM delivers enough improvement to justify the cost. For first-time buyers it’s still a solid speaker, but longtime UE owners expecting a substantial next-generation upgrade may come away underwhelmed. ... show more

    • Fantastic Bluetooth Speaker
Color: Black
It’s a great option for a wireless speaker. Not too big, not too small, and the sound quality is fantastic.

    • Bought two
Color: White
I previously used two Sony SRS-XB43 speakers as my main Hifi in my RV trailer. I found that they sound great, but are very unstable as a pair. In use, they disconnect randomly, have problems keeping the stereo pair, and are absolutely TERRIBLE for listening, when getting interrupted several times a day. Bluetooth is weird, has all sorts of problems, and it's impossible to know why it misbehaves. There are definitely issues with older Bluetooth, and compatibility issues betwen older and newer bluetooth. Whatever, I decided to say goodbye to Sony, and get two more Boom speakers to add to my two BOOM3. Now, I have 4 boom speakers, I can easily use in party-mode. So far, it works great. No dropping, and no weird bluetooth issues. A great deal on black friday sale, i'm happy I now have a good long-term audio solution. ... show more

    • Worst UE speaker, buy an Everboom instead
Color: Black
Review Image by JC
As someone that loves Ultimate Ears products this let me down big time. I own a megaboom, 2 Hyperbooms, an Everboom and this "Not so Epic Boom" i had high hopes for this thing, but you should skip this one, get the Everboom instead its cheaper and has way better sound quality and battery life. If you can afford it and you want an amazing epic speaker grab a Hyperboom I own 2 and they shake the house paired up. My main complaint is almost 0 Bass thump compared to UE's smaller cheaper options, both the Everboom and Megaboom have more bass, and horrible battery life 3-4 hours turned up if that, vs 6-10+ hours on my other UE Speakers at high volume, heck my Megaboom runs for 15 hours maxed out and the Hyperboom about the same. I gotten 8 hours out of the Everboom max volume. If you just a scaled up EverBoom and gave it a long battery life this could have been an truly Amazing Epic speaker. But IMO it is the worst of the bunch for your premium speakers. ... show more
