I purchased my 1st Boom in 2018 for $99.99 from Amazon. I purchased my 2nd Boom from Amazon in 2019 ($82.49) because I liked the product. I came by today purchase two more, but not for today's price. At this price, I think there are better products. However, I still use my two Booms without any problems. The sound quality is okay (my kids don't can't tell the difference), I've never had a problem connecting one or both to my phone, and battery life isn't too bad. ... show more

This speaker works great, we've had this type of speaker for quite a while and wanted to add to the experience we had using it camping boating and on many of our outdoor adventures.

I don't know what else to say about this speaker, charge holds me for 2 + days with fairly heavy use. I've been in hospital for more than a year now and music keeps me sane, so quality sound is an imperative for me. Much cheaper than the Bose and the sound is comparable. I use it for spotify from my Ipad and for movies on my laptop and I also use it on the tv in my hospital room. This speaker has hit the floor 4 times now and no dents and absolutely no effect on the sound. This thing is rugged. I know it is not the latest model , but for my needs and the difference in price this is the perfect speaker. Less than $90 bought me fabulous clarity. Btw the built in equalizer on the app is fabulous as well, presets that are all customizable so I'm able to adjust for different rooms and uses. ( Monday night football would not use the same EQ as Miles Davis) Also this thing has volume to spare, I've gotten busted by the charge nurse for blasting Led Zeppelin @ 7 am. But hey you gotta live.....do it up right with this speaker! ... show more

I had a difficult time deciding between this speaker and the JBL Flip 5. I did end up choosing the flip 5. Although, I do love the sound of this speaker. The speaker sounds super crisp and clean. I like that a lot. It doesn't have much base and it doesn't seem quite as full as the JBL. The final tipping point for me was just the charging cable. The JBL takes the USBC which is the same as my phone and that's way more convenient for me. Also the black looked a little gray and not black enough to me. Between not as much base, the charging cable and the color, I decided on the JBL (which I love). But it honestly was a tough decision. I like this speaker a lot. I think it looks awesome and it does produce great sound. Maybe not quite as full as the JBL though. Sorry Boom 2 :) ... show more

We have a pair of these we use in the backyard and when camping or on vacation. If you're looking for really loud sound you may want a bigger unit, but for good sound quality at a reasonable volume, durability, ease of use, portability, and long battery life these are great. Using 2 speakers via one phone can be hit or miss on connectivity. I've fought with it on one Samsung phone until tweaking just the right BT permissions got it working finally, but another paired both right away with smart things. Using 1 speaker I've not had any problems with pairing connecting, and added a second one out of curiosity and to get more of a stereo effect. Battery lasts a long time, and charges via any Bluetooth power source. I haven't dunked one yet, but they've handled rain and spills without any issue, as well as being dropped a few times. ... show more

Sadly, I lost my original Boom 2, so naturally as soon as it happened I tried to find another. I loved my Boom 2 and the LE is virtually the same sound quality and battery life as the Boom 2, so needless to say I've very happy with it. The Boom 3's smart features weren't important to me for the $40 premium, so the Boom 2 LE was a nice fit. It was roughly the same black/grey color as my original. That said, I do have one pet peeve. The LE doesn't include a charging block, like the original did. This seems like a silly omission. Charge the extra $5 and include a charge block appropriate to the battery used in the product. Luckily, I had one from my original, but if you weren't buying a replacement, that is something new customers need to understand. This is one big flaw in an otherwise great product. ... show more

I bought this on a bit of a whim because I really needed a good bluetooth speaker and saw the reviews, and honestly I'm really happy with what I've received! I had to play around with the EQ a bit because the way it was sounding at it's standard levels felt a bit mechanical to me (which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars), but with the adjustments, I'm quite pleased with the sound, strength, and build quality of the speaker. It is not the *clearest* sound I've ever heard produced, but it is still very clear and seems to get even better as it get's louder. And it get's loud. I was not expecting such full, 360 sound when I bought it, but it sure does produce. If that's something your looking for -- and it definitely sounds good -- this is a good purchase for ya. If you're really committed to high fidelity, maybe something pricier and more built with that distinct purpose is the right investment, but this is plenty good. ... show more
