I have the VL49, but this is so far superior that I was I hadn't bought the small one. It fills the space with light and the battery lasts for ever. It's the better value for sure.

The ULANZI LT003 RGB Video Light, 15W Portable LED Panel with 2100 Lumens, 10" Video Light Dimmable 2500K-9000K, Built-in 8000mAh Battery and USB Charger, CRI>95 for DSLR Camera Video Photography: This is a 10" RGBW 15 watt, 2,100 Lumens LED panel. At 15 watts 2,100 lumens it's obviously not very bright. It's not meant to fill your room or blow out your background for photography. This is perfect as a key light or low level background light for streaming and video calls. It's strength is in it's size. at 10" it's a much better key light than the smaller LED puck lights, but not quite as good as a larger soft box. Having this on, or near your desk to fill in the light on your face is ideal. Also just off camera as a side or back light, or throwing a little color into a wall or corner. However for streaming and video calls. This will not typically be bright enough to do the same for pro photo and video, as it is only 15 watts. To be clear you can do portraits with it, if you can get it close enough, and it could work very well for tabletop photography. Again it's size could be a strength for table top photos and video, however, typically brighter lights are used. One could absolutely make it work if needed. The fixture arrives in a nice box, reminiscent of luxury electronic brands. The unit is well packaged in dense foam. Something I appreciate, having received numerous broken items from other brands recently. The fixture itself is made of a medium duty ABS that I wouldn't want to drop from any great height. The RGBW pixels are arranged in a 9x14 array. I have two pixels that don't show quite right on a few colors, but overall this doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference in practice. The info screen on the back is clear and easy to use, as are the controls on the rear of the panel. The printed manual could be better, However it is fairly easy to use with the screen and controls on the back. There is a power button on the side and the built in diffusion panel is decent. The unit can be powered and recharged using the included USB C to USB A cord. Overall if you are looking for a light for your video calls or for some streaming this is a great one to consider. Specially if you don't have allot of space. A 10", not overly bright LED panel close to you can be the perfect light for these purposes as well as for some tabletop photos and videos. I recommend for beginner to seasoned streamers and anyone looking for a desk light for video calls. Keep in mind you will need to provide your own stand as this is only the panel.

I like the Ulanzi brand, and this light is typical great quality that you can expect from Ulanzi. It is a large soft light that also only takes up as much space as an iPad. The built in battery makes this super handy. It has regular color temp modes from warm to cool K like typical, also full spectrum RGB mode, and also very handy specialty effect modes like flicker, pulse, cycle colors, etc. The display on the back makes adjustments super easy and accurate, my one complaint about the adjustments is that they have the + on the left and - on the right. That is backwards compared to most where the left is always less and the right is always more. There is one 1/4 20 on the bottom, so it would have possibly been nice to see on on the side as well, but not a big deal to me. The LEDS are VERY visible (you can see in the pic with the CCT set to around 4000K) so the diffuser could be a little thicker to help soften them more, but not a huge deal in regards to the softness of the light it puts out, only an issue if you see a reflection of the light, then you see hundreds of dots on the grid. I have a similar SmallRig sized light (same HxWxD) that is powered by NP batteries, but it does not have RGB LEDs, only CCT. The nice thing about that light however is that the panel is edge lit, so you only see one huge super soft rectangle. I still prefer this overall thanks to the RGB functions and built in battery. The box this came in was incredibly nice, solid and heavy.... then when I pulled out the actual light, it was shockingly light. While the weight is great, I do worry about the studiness of the plastic (feels pretty thin) but with proper care it should be fine. I feel like slightly more solid build/feel and a thicker diffuser on the LEDs would make this a 5 star product, so I only gave it 4, but it really is an amazingly good product!

The media could not be loaded. The ULANZI LT003 claims an 8000 mAh battery capacity, and also claims a CCT range from 2600- 9000K. The extended range would have been extraordinary, but readings from 6000 K to 9000 K actually metered consistently 1200 - 1400K below what the LCD readout claimed. I even placed the meter within 6 inches of the light at 100% brightness, and the output was nowhere near 9000 K. It barely reached 7800K at the 9000K setting. At the lower end of the range the CCT was much more accurate. I don't have a way of measuring the battery capacity, but I would take the claim of 8000 mAh with the proverbial grain of salt as well. At the current price, I can't really complain about the entirely plastic construction, or the flimsy feeling click button controls, but I do find the complete lack of metal heat sinks or fans/vents worrisome for the longevity of the light. The LT003 does have the usual RGB FX programs- they call them 'Scenes'- and there are 20 available. Many Scenes are fun and colorful, the video shows the 8-9 most colorful selections. The ULANZI LT003 is very bright, and very inexpensive for what you get, but the exaggerated CCT claims are the most glaring issue with the product.
