Make sure the plug is 24 volts. These are bright, love how the light blends better than traditional strip lights. The length happened to work perfectly for where I used it for. Didn't have to cut or add. I don't know about the adhesive back. I've tried many strip lights and the adhesive sucks. I don't even try anymore. I use brackets or hot glue. I am making my own pool table light and my basement is a shrine to LED lights. I tested this strip day with one of my spare power supplies. The strip gets plenty bright and I am assuming that the cool white 5000 is accurate. Based on just my eyes the color looks right and the consensus for playing pool is 5000k. A few notes if you are buying and new to LED's. If you want real white light then you need a white LED. RGB will be very blue and will not look good. So if you need colors then look for RGBW or RGBWW. These are dimmable with the right controller. These COB strips are great for eliminating hot spots and are perfect under a diffuser. If you are looking at the light closely you can barely see the individual lights. At 24V you will not need to inject power unless you have 3 or more strips connected. The only downside to COB is you can only cut this strip every 1.96 inches. These are definitely high quality. They are UL listed and I like that they don't have weld points every few feet. ... show more

I got these lights for my room and they are very bright. I only used them a little because I got the wrong ones but it looks good when you plug them in. They illuminate well and are one straight strip of continuous light. Overall they are good LEDs.

It was challenging for me to figure out what power supply to order. I wish they would just have an option to purchase with a power supply or not. I went with the suggested power supply stats, and the supply gets really hot, so I'm nervous that not all power supplies are universal and this might not be a good match. I also didn't see an option with one that could dim. So the strip is fully bright. It's too bright for my intended purpose. I got it for behind the couch to light up the wall, and its way too bright. So I'm now going to have to find a different power supply that dims. I would also say that 2700k is more of a nice warm color then the 3000k. The 3000k is still slightly on the cooler side to me. They look great. Just remember that you still need a dimmer if you want to dim them and power source. You also need connectors and wires if you want to put them under cabinets or somewhere there they go around corners or are not contiguous.
