This USB input switch from UGreen is working great in my desk set up. It switches very quickly, the connection is stable with zero glitches, and if only using for a keyboard and mouse it doesn't require additional power input. It does have a USB C power delivery in port that you can use if you need extra power, probably for connecting hard drives or other storage although I haven't had the need to test that functionality yet. It includes a wired remote button so the the device can be tucked away out of sight. It also includes two cables to connect to two computers (one cable is C to C and one is C to A). Here's a description of my setup using this USB switch: I switch between my laptop running windows and a mini PC running Linux. I have tried using KVM switches to switch both video and my keyboard and mouse between my two computers but that solution is bulky and results in a ton of cables that are somewhat unnecessary since I have simplified to a single 32" 4k monitor. My monitor can switch between HDMI input from my mini PC and Display Port input from my laptop dock using the built in toggle so all I have remaining that I need to switch over is my keyboard and mouse. I leave my webcam and mic connected to my laptop dock all the time since I only use them on that device. If you have multiple monitors or other advanced needs you might benefit from a full KVM but if you have a single monitor with easy to toggle video inputs like me then this USB switch is a way cheaper and more compact solution.

Aug 20, 2024 Update: Well, unfortunately, I had to stop using this switch. When I connected my speakerphone to it, it would cause all sorts of static. It was definitely the switch as it didn't happen when I connected directly to my computer or even to another hub. It may not happen to all devices, but this makes it unusable for me. Star removed. Review of: UGREEN USB A & C Input Switch 2 Computers Share 4 USB Ports I’ve come the like the design and quality of UGreen products and this switch is no different. It’s well built with metal parts and feels solid. Connections and switching between computers was reliable and there is an indicator light to show which computer is active. There was noticeable lag with my mouse, which is important as it’s connected to my gaming computer. There was no noticeable slowdown in data transfer with the dock. There were a few gripes which are minor but I think are worth mentioning: - the inputs that connect to your computer are USB C. This is fine but they provide one USB C to USB C cable and one USB C to USB A cable. It’s a strange choice as again, both ports are USB C - The indicator lights to show which input is active are both blue, and it’s hard to read the embossed numbers below the lights. I own another UGreen switch and one light is blue and one is green and you can tell immediately which computer is active. They should have done the same with this one. Again, these are minor gripes and overall, this is an excellent switch.

When I received this product, I was a little skeptical as the box and product itself felt light and the instructions were pretty unclear as to how to use it. Fortunately, the device itself is pretty intuitive. There are 3 USB ports and 1 USB-c port in the front, along with a 5th port for a button/switch, but I didn't end up needing to use it. The back has 2 USB-C ports for input while the front port is for output. The front ports also charge. The product works as intended for me, though I didn't end up using two separate inputs on the back as it was intended to manage, because I didn't have a need. In essence, it serves its purpose, and I had no issues using the device.

This USB input switch from UGREEN is fantastic! I’ve come to appreciate the design and quality of UGREEN products, and this switch is no different. It’s well-built with metal parts and feels solid. Pros: Reliable Connections: Switching between computers is seamless and reliable. Indicator Light: There is an indicator light to show which computer is active. No Data Transfer Slowdown: No noticeable slowdown in data transfer with the dock. Cons: Mouse Lag: There was noticeable lag with my mouse, which is important as it’s connected to my gaming computer. For typical low bandwidth USB devices such as keyboard, mice, printer and webcam sharing this usb hub gadget works like a charm. Super handy especially if you have multiple computers in small space. It will definitely clear up some clutters. Hardware is well made, grip on bottom makes it stable. Comes with a remote button and necessary USB 3 cables. Highly functional and very useful tool.
