I live in a an apartment that was built in the 70's so I have the ac in the wall type set up,. This did fit w/o much issue. I replaced my thermostat with a smart one when I moved in and when I checked the app after running this for a week I did see that my AC was running about 50% less of the time vs when I had the white filter I had in before which means less energy being use. my apartment has remained comfortable and I hear less strain on my AC to run. the washability makes for a great value vs buying a new filter every three months or using the ones my complex will provide. the quality of it is good and I havent noticed any issues with filtration and its easy to clean.

Other filters you have to be reminded of changing them out. This filter alleviates that problem. It's easy to clean and reuse. It's called a permanent filter for a reason. You might say it costs too much, but think of the total costs of those other replacement filters for a year. It's less work for you every month. That's one less burden on your family budget.

To be completely honest, I was clueless and had no idea. They actually made metal electrostatic filter up until I accidentally stumbled it. It’s a lifesaver because I’ve been having an issue with my AC, pulling in the older filters and making a touch the coil underneath it, soaking it wet, which eventually Start dripping water to the floor. With this one? No more problem and I love the fact that it’s easy to clean take and it’s valuable for the money. It’s reusable rather than constantly buying the classic filters which by the way break down from the side of even a little bit of waterfalls in it. It’s heavy duty. The size is accurate and the quality seems to be long lasting nothing negative to say. I’m buying a new AC unit soon. If they don’t have the same size I’ll re-buy one that fits a new AC. It’s way more stronger and than a standard filter, especially on the edges. The inside is like a standard filter with light metal however, the outer portions of the rim itself sturdy metal.

I had a reusable furnace filter years ago that was fantastic, and saved me a lot of money over the years in filter replacement costs. But we had to replace our furnace several years back, and the new filter is quite a bit bigger, being 4 inches thick. If I can get a good deal when replacing the filter, a replacement filter is $45! So when I saw this, I jumped on it, even though the cost for my larger filter was near $100, my past experience with washable filters was great, and I knew that the cost savings would pay back in less than a year. At that time, the filter came with a bottle of detergent, used to spray and let the filter soak, then I would use a garden hose to flush out copious amounts of dirt that I had accumulated, so I knew that it was working quite well. In the winter, I would do the same process in the bathtub. Unfortunately, when this filter arrived, it was nothing like what I had experienced over 30 years ago with reusable furnace filters. Rather than being 20 in.² and 4 inches thick, it was more like 19 1/4 in.² and less than 4 inches thick. It would not even fit my furnace correctly. On top of that, my filters are thicker because it allows for more filter material to achieve higher filtration. But I could look through this filter and see that there is only the top and bottom layers with nothing but airspace in between. As others have mentioned, these can’t stop anything. And because I have had experience with a very good filter that is washable, I knew that this was nowhere near what it needed to be in order to actually filter. But thanks to amazon.com’s excellent customer service, I received a refund immediately. I’m a bit disappointed, but happy that Amazon stood behind me. My one star rating for this product is no reflection on Amazon. I can’t really speak for the Ubeesize company except with regard to this particular experience, but I will say that I went to their website and found that they don’t seem to specialize in this product, but rather they sell a wide variety of different products. My suspicion is that the other positive reviews here for the reusable furnace filter, at best, are for a previously excellent product that has been replaced with a cheap fraud. Maybe the company doesn’t realize this. My advice is to steer clear.
