  • An FM. Collection of Aviation Crisis While in Flight (101 LFTS)
FM. has complied a collection of Aviation Crisis which have occurred around the world. His knowledge of aviation and close proximity with the flight crews was what probable him to present the different unsafe aviation scenarios with rotary and diplomacy. Aviation accidents occurs because of a single simple mistake, if which, there are many. Many that you will see from an birds eye view. When decisions are made by flight crews the weighing factors are immediately reacted to. In some cases accidents occur, not with intent, but with a simple line of current events. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS ... show more

  • Great Book
I liked how the author showed the critical moments that the pilot face during his flight and how he need to respond in effective/efficient way. Although I am not a commercial pilot or even a licensed pilot but most of the stories made me visualize the situation in the cockpit. It is similar to watching "Air Crash Investigation" TV show in National Geographic. If I am a commercial pilot I would keep the book as a reference in my library. On the other hand, I faced problem trying to go through all the technical terms and abbreviation used in the stories. I think it would be better to simplify this to the common reader like me. Finally I liked how the author transfer his passion into a way to help developing the Aviation Industry ... show more

  • Educational and inspiring
This was the best book I've ever read in terms of education because I learned a lot. It was all the lessons and the glossary that will make me get this book again when I am training to be done a commercial airline pilot which is my passion, and even when I am a pilot will I use this book again for lesson learning and reference. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in becoming a pilot, especially a commercial pilot. ... show more

  • Good Book for Pilots
I bought this book as a Christmas present for my brother who is studying to be a pilot. It is a technical book which is just the sort of thing that suited him. I would recommend this book for someone who is very close to the aviation industry and could appreciate a lot of the technical descriptions. Not all of the stories were technical, and some are very engaging and hair-raising, but most of the book is industry-specific. ... show more

  • Great book!
Really goes in debt about the history and the “need to knows”

  • Let's see what else can we add to get to 101...
Seriously, there are anecdotes in here about the pilot not being furnished with fresh bedding on a long haul flight. While there are a few eye-opening ones that pilots will appreciate, many of them are so mundane that you'll simply flip the page. It's really a shame since there are probably a 1,001 good lessons about flying a plane out there. ... show more

  • This is just a list of accidents!
This was a waste of my time and money. A list of aviation mishaps and events with no in depth background to the event and no mention of consequences to the individuals concerned, or the airlines they worked for. I quickly realised that I was just reading a list of accidents and incidents compiled by the writer. ... show more
