    • Great Book, and the Included Practice Tests Made All the Difference!

Passed my Part 107 exam with a 97% and a HUGE part of my success was due to this book - and in particular the practice test software that comes with it. First thing I want to point out is that if you buy this book (which i highly recommend) please note you do NOT have to purchase the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement book (FAA-CT-8080-2H) since it is included in this publication. The book itself is very well laid out and neatly organizes study topics throughout. There are plenty of test questions throughout the book along with an answer key... though, the only little nitpick i have is that the answer key didn't always just say which specific answer choice was the correct one and would instead give an explanation that every now and then would give a little bit of hesitation about knowing which one was the correct one. This was only once in a while and i will say that it forced me to go back and review the material again, so i guess it forced me to fill in some missing gaps. The downloadable testing software is another HUGE bonus with this book. I literally just took my test yesterday and the questions are all still fresh in my mind and I will tell you that there was a very large percentage of test questions that were nearly verbatim of the ones I encountered with the practice test software included with this book. Another thing I loved about the practice test software is that once you submit your test as completed, it then breaks down every question and explains why the correct answer was the proper one and why the other two were not the correct ones. In addition to this, it also gives you the reference number so you can look up the specific rule if you like to study that way, The format of the test was also similar to the actual test in the fact that you could bookmark questions that you want to easily find later to come back to look at again before final submit. I did not pay for any of the online courses and now that all is said and done I would easily say that the courses are not necessary whatsoever if you are willing to spend some time digging into the material yourself. I started with YouTube videos, did a lot of online practice tests (kingschools tests were great) to help me find the missing gaps in materials i needed to learn and then this book and the practice tests brought everything together. The practice tests in this most closely emulated the real test taking experience. Hope this helps someone out there who is looking to take their Part 107 exam. This book is definitely more than you need to know for the actual exam, in a good way. It goes into great detail on the different categories of the exam. Regulations, Airspace, Weather, Loading and Performance, and Operations. Each subsection gets to the point. There are sample questions at the end of each subsection with explanations for the answers. What’s also good is that it includes the reference book you get during the actual exam. If you want to know more about actual drone flying and not just exam questions then this is the book for you. I hate this book but it's the best book out there I'd should say I hate the paranoia surrounding drone flights and backwards thinking,to put drones in with airplanes. At least there should be some different usage licencing, like for real estate photographers,they should have a separate one.

I received my book today, and there is one important point I think prospective buyers should be aware of. An earlier reviewer stated: “First thing I want to point out is that if you buy this book (which I highly recommend), please note you do NOT have to purchase the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement book (FAA-CT-8080-2H).” I purchased this book partly based on that comment. However, the version of the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement (FAA-CT-8080-2H) included with the book is dated 2018, and it is not the latest 2026 version. As I don't currently have a copy of the 2026 edition, I can't comment on how significantly the content differs from the 2018 version. I simply wanted to point this out so that other buyers are aware that the included supplement is an older edition. ... show more

I bought this book to study for a scheduled Part 107 exam. I read every section, spent the time to answer every question, and spend the time to understand the questions I was getting incorrect. It took probably 12-16 of time. I also used the code that comes with the book for the practice exams on my PC. I did those practice tests many times. You will get some of the same questions, but will get new questions each round. Those questions are similar to the ones on the exam. I had taken a Ground School online course prior. I was able to pass my exam with a 90% on the first try. Definitely worth the money. Put the time in and you will be confident going into the exam and you can pass too. ... show more

Loved it. Packed with information. Clear, organized. It comes with software so you can test yourself on the computer. Then the missed answers are in categories so you can see what areas you need to focus your re-read, and study on. Very helpful. I would recommend it. Very good.
