Starting out with the bad - there is not enough room at the USB-C port. I have yet to find a plug that will fit in with the case attached. I have to really pry the case out of the way to get anything to fit. This is more than a mild annoyance I have a UAG case for my last iPad. That cover was removable, this one is not. There are pros and cons either way. Using the stand capabilities of this case is very hit or miss. It does fall over sometimes - but seems better on this version than my last one. At the end of the day, this is still one of the lightest full protection cases for the large iPad.

UAG are my favorite cases since the iPhone 4 Not too bulky, like the look. This case does not fit well The cutout for the plug had to be modified to accommodate for larger iPad plug, and some parts of the case near camera just doesn’t fit over iPad Other then that, it’s great

I’ve been a big fan of UAG products for many years. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in manufacturing or leader ship but the quality is going downhill. I’ve attached photos showing a 2018 iPad Pro case in the new 2022 iPad Pro case and the differences. The new case feels thinner and flimsy. The actual part that wraps around the sides of the iPad have become incredibly thin and just barely hang on to the edges. I never had to worry about the corners popping off with the old case but the new case pops off at the corners with the slightest amount of pressure. The case also no longer protects the sleep wake button. This case would be worthy of a $30 purchase. I would not recommend this product any longer.

This case is very close to perfect the only small improvements are that sometimes snapping the case on in the back can be a challenge and I wish the furrows on the inside we’re just a little deeper to hold more securely when propping it up. Also, the velvet on the inside of the lid will wear off after a time. That aside, it is as protective as a tank and is extremely durable and the material makes it very easy to get a grip and hold onto it. Considering how much I spent for my iPad there is no other case I would consider having protect it.

I can see how this corner could cause seen people some issues. It has not been of a bother to me yet. But that is definitely a weak point in the case. I hope they decide to fix that. Also, the my old iPad case had the option of taking the flap off if you wanted. They permanently attached it to the case this time. This case is ok but it does not live up to their older case standards.

I have a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 with a 2020 Metropolis Case and it’s my favorite case for it. Among many. I bought a 2021 iPad Pro and a new 2021 Metropolis Case and the experience is less than stellar. I don’t know why they decided to change the case in any way other than to accommodate they extra thickness, but they did, to the complete detriment of the 2021 Case. The top left corner(landscape)/top right corner(portrait) constantly comes off. They increased the power button opening to a ridiculously large gap(for no apparent reason) as well as changed completely the feel of the area around volume buttons. These three things make this case much more expensive than it’s worth. Why 0.5mm of extra thickness required any of these changes is beyond me, and at this point I’d recommend any other case for your M1. Before the 2021 case got here I put the 2020 UAG on my 2021 iPad. It still fits better than the new case, and doesn’t have a corner that constantly pops off. Hard pass this case…..

My main reason for a 4 and not a 5 rating is the price. It is similiar to past UAG cases I have had. In regard to another review here on Amazon, I would have to disagree about the case not being for the 5th generation Ipad Pro. I believe it fits well but the one corner where the camara cut out is located will slip off the corner if pushed. I think this is by design as the other corners are very secure and the case would be very difficult to remove if all 4 corners were too snug. Overall a good case but priced too high. Revised June 10th, 2021 As this month passed the case showed more signs of not having a snug fit. The one corner near the camera detaches easy. The other corners show a small space likely to the thicker nature of the 5th gen iPad. It would still be a good case for a lesser price but no way is it worth $90. Lowered rating to a 2 star.
