Okay so first, the largest suitcase in this is HUGE. It is more than accomadating. We are going on a cruise in a few days, initially I had everything packed in our older luggae, however we have a lot of costume materials and it was seeming to take tons and tons of extra space. So I decided we should get a few more bags. However when these came in, I ended up switching ALL of our luggage into these and went from 6 suitcases, to only these 3 bags for me and my fiance. Multiple shoes, costumes, and an abundance of clothes. These were the lowest price, largest quanitity and size, and best review combination I could find on Amazon and now I see why. They come nested in one another. Each comes with an attached lock and set of keys (can be removed). The zipper pulls are very thick and sturdy. The color is very vibrant and clean looking. The pockets on the outsides are HUGE and very roomy. The inside is even ROOMIER. They each have a net zipper pouch on the onside, along with two longer cylinder like pockets. Luggage straps are in each one. They have a zippered lining, it is very thin, however it does the job and is not an issue. The handles extend to a long length, and I love the fact that they lock in and out of place (you have to push a button in on the handle in order to extend or retract them). They roll very well. I am extremely happy with this purchase and honestly will probably purchase this exact same set on the future of more bags are needed. You cant beat this price for the quality. Our friends are joining us and also needed luggage, I recommended these and they purchased them in blue. The first thing they said was joking that we could fit another mutual friend in the larger suitcase (we probably could, lol)

I recently purchased the U.S. Traveler New Yorker luggage set, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. While it may not boast the highest quality materials, it has proven to be durable enough for my needs. As someone who tends to be hard on luggage sets and tired of replacing more expensive bags every year, I appreciate the balance of affordability and functionality that this set offers. One of the standout features is its expandable design, providing an additional 25% more packing capacity when needed. This has been incredibly useful for accommodating last-minute items or souvenirs acquired during travel. However, one aspect I wish was different is the wheel configuration. Fixed wheels can be a bit cumbersome, especially when navigating crowded airports or busy streets. Spinner wheels would have offered greater maneuverability and ease of use. Nevertheless, the set's construction from tear-resistant fabric and its thoughtful design features, such as multiple front zippered pockets and interior organization compartments, make it a practical choice for frequent travelers. In conclusion, while there is room for improvement, particularly in the wheel department, the U.S. Traveler New Yorker luggage set represents a solid value proposition. This US Travelers New Yorker luggage set is a home run if you have realistic expectations. I toiled over which set to buy and went cross-eyed reading all the mixed bag reviews. After much deliberation, and thanks in part to a sale, I settled on this set (actually bought two sets ). Here is a breakdown of what all the other reviews taught me, a synopsis of our experiences with this luggage and a helpful hint to increase the look and durability of these suitcases: First off, the luggage looks very upscale; the front side is vibrantly colored (in this case royal blue), and the tightly woven fabric has good fit & finish. There are two metal zipper pulls on each compartment which is convenient, however the zippers themselves and the pull attachments are adequate but not of superior durability. The bags are generously sized, deeper than our previous (Atlantic brand) set and this allows the bags to swallow a lot more stuff yet remain portable. The insides are fully lined and contain straps to secure the contents. While the lining is thin and not the highest quality, it is a nice feature on a set in this price range; our previous set cost twice as much fifteen years ago and had no lining. Each of the pull pieces have two nicely functioning wheels and an expandable handle to let you drag the bag behind; you can even attach the duffel bag onto an extended handle via a back strap. Speaking of the handles- although none of them have given out on us yet, these handles are a bit awkward to use and will possibly be the first things to act up as they are the flimsiest part of this luggage set. The farther you telescope them out, the more likely they feel as if they are going to break under the weight of the bag, especially if the bags are filled. HINT: A good hint with which I can "pay it forward" is to Scotch-Guard Fabric them prior to using. I picked up a can and sprayed the sets prior to use and that five dollar investment is helping these bags avoid all sorts of staining and discoloring at the hands of the baggage claim and after repeated uses they still look great. Overall, this set was a terrific buy for my family's needs and should be the same for most casual travelers as well. Again, have realistic expectations from what a set of this price should deliver and I think you will be pleased. I posted a few pics of this luggage set so you can visualize what they look like and how they all fit or "nest" together during storage. Should there be any noteworthy experiences (good or bad) as we use them in the future, I will be sure to update. Good luck. UPDATE: 7/2016: After several more uses, this luggage set continues to function well and look very nice. The handles I mocked in my initial write up still feel a bit flimsy but they are holding up fine. The only other minor issue we have seen is that the metal skeleton between the lining and the outer fabric that helps keep the suitcase's shape is stretching the fabric in the corners of some of the pieces...it is not yet effecting the performance but it looks a bit unsightly on the black bottom-side of some of the pieces. No big deal and I continue to be impressed with this set. UPDATE 11/2019: 4+ years in and this luggage set is still going strong. No handles have broken, the wheels (although not 360 spinners) work great and they continue to look almost new. My sister in law bought the exact same set for her and her family and also loves it. I've upped from four to five stars because there have been no durability issues.

This is my second set of this luggage. I travel several times a year for work. I'm in all kinds of places and all types of airlines. My first set made it at least 8 yrs of total abuse. The last piece, that I use finally gave it up earlier this year. The case was still in one piece, but had just taken too many hard knocks and the hard plastic pieces on the bottom were starting to shatter, which all hard plastic will do with time. I was not upset by this as I had already been amazed at how long I had been able to use the pieces. The 2nd to largest size is the one that I used the most and just recently gave it up. As it was still in one piece, I made it home. With the great track record I purchased the same set again. I can only review the 2 larger pieces as these are all that I use. My new set showed up on time and as promised. I bought the blue\black set. The color is as bright as it is in the picture. I wanted this bright so I can easily identify it on the baggage claim. It did pick up some dirt, but that is to be expected as I watched out the plane window the bag being thrown from the conveyor to the baggage cart from 5-7 ft away. The bag weighed in at over 18 Kg packed, so it wasn't all that light. I was amazed they could throw it that far and that hard. Everything arrived home just fine. I purposely avoid the 360 wheeled bags as I have seen those wheels broken off many times. The inline skate wheels work just great and make it much easier for me to put a smaller bag on top and roll the whole thing around. I'm 60+ yrs and I can honestly say that it really does handle well. I also prefer the soft sided as I can over-stuff even beyond the expansion. I would recommend this set to anyone that wants something durable. I can't rate either of the 2 smaller pieces as I just don't use them. I actually give them away. Good for grand kid bags. As long as they keep making the bags to the same standard, I will keep buying them.

(Update; A few days after I ordered my two sets,which I love, btw and am thinking of getting the garment case this brand has also, and I really do think I found the best among the 4-to-5piece upright luggage sets overall!, the luggage sets went on sale, for twentypercentOff, and not unlike most stores, Amazon does have an active consumer policy of giving you a receipt credit for the difference if an item goes on sale after you purchase, so I am waiting to be credited-but am very happy with the purchases) After a few months of looking online, I finally narrowed my search down to three online retailers that had upright-luggage-sets of 4-to-6 available. And so I settled on buying the UST-NewYork-Style Expandable Rolling Luggage 4-Piece-Set (in black with grey accents). I needed more than one larger case, so I ordered two separate identical sets (-right now I am still waiting on the other set to arrive). Upfront, I bought this set because it looked great in the videos and also because it was streamlined and was a deeper cases set as well as having the 29inch case (or taller sizes) actually included in the set as described, whereas some of the other sets only had the smaller cases and being Swedish, like most people of the dominant skinny-standard-tall height-range, I still, occasionally like a bigger case. To be more accurate I would describe it as 3-pieces luggage and 1-piece accessories bag (The set came with those little keylocks, to secure the zipclosure, and Three Suitcases and also a single-small bag which is suitable as tablet/small-laptop carry case, which was very nice). Also, this is a nesting luggage set so, it is very easy to store, neatly intact and also was very easy to handle by myself. Like most SwedishEuropeans living in the USA, I like a certain standard of built-well-designed-well type items and accessories and such to make life easier. (When my favorite JuicyCouture patent luggage set with 34inch-to-39inch or so suitcase was missing from a home-invasion event in 2021, I wanted to find something I could use -while waiting to return safely to my residence and have my missing JC luggage and other property returned to me by law-enforcement and social-services as required by law). SPECIALNOTE: It’s important to note that in the descriptions, the inch-height-measurement, includes the wheels, so if you are in need of a separate 34inch case or taller, it’s best to look for the 37inchCase, as the wheels will take up at least two-inches if not more. What I like about this set is that it really does look even better in person than in the Ad photos, and looks as nice in person as in the video review with the young man showing one of the cases open and closed on a table in the video. It is different enough from my other luggage pieces so it’s not a repeat and has it’s own function, but cleanly designed to fit in with my personal use and not to distract in storing in a basement or closet or corner. These just came today. They all look nice with no damage. All zippers, belts straps work. The do stink a little. Came when said. I so far I am very please. Nice size, colors. I was surprised by the mini locks on the 3 siutcases. They have handles on top side, and bottom of suitcase. The have a pull strap on the top. They all have extend handles The out side pockets on the front are nice size for newspapers ,tablets, books etc. They are about 2 inches thick. The big part of each suitcase expands out 2 more inches. They also have ID pocket on back. The lining inside has a zipper, so you could put shoes, dirty clothes between it and clean. Or maybe that secret place to put a card money. The lid part of the suitcase has a vented pouch plus pockets for shoes . It also has 2 hold down straps that have a push button. They are bigger then I thought. But I think Im most surprised by the tote bag. I actually put 3 full boxes of tissues in it. See photo. It has a a handle plus a strap and a front pocket also. They all look like the are will made. Granted for the price. I really am surprised. I would recommend. We dont travel by air so dont know how they would hold up. I bet they would be fine. Unless you are one who travels weekly.
