The media could not be loaded. This drone is amazing. I’ve owned several DJI drones in the past and they were always intuitive and offered high-quality video. However, they lacked in terms of quick shots, controller-less functionality and (to some extent) portability. Not this one. I received my Neo today and was shocked at how truly tiny it is. I charged it up, connected it to the DJI Fly app, and updated the firmware within just a few minutes. Took some test flights in my loft and I was pleased with how easy it was to control the drone with my iPhone. Then I took it out cycling. The Neo fit comfortably in my small USWE cycling backpack. I took it to a park a few miles away and tested all the quick shots, including follow-me (which is great, but has roughly a 13mph limit). The footage was fantastic, even in a light breeze. I got about 20 quick-shot flights out the battery, and when I got home it was easy to connect to the drone wirelessly via the DJI Fly app, and download the videos to my iPhone. Slick! I’m looking forward to bringing this little drone with me on loads of cycling / ski trips. I also ordered an RC-N3 controller so I can bring it sailing and fly it like a traditional drone. I previously had one of the new HoverAir drones on pre-order and I’m so happy I canceled in favor of the Neo. It’s half the price and far more capable. You won’t regret buying this one. ... show more

Mine came direct from Dji Hong Kong in 4 days! This little drone is built to last and does everything well. Next up is to get the FPV goggles and motion controller but the goggles are being price gouged by almost 100% by some sellers! Amazon.com needs to kick those sellers to the curb!     • The the $130 controller to make this worth every penny!

What, you mean this is actually a $330 drone? Well, yeah. At $200 it works, and works well, but you don't get the full feature set. If you get the $130 controller that DJI sells, it will wake this drone up and make it much more usable and fun. Of course you can go all out and spend $500 for the goggles, and another $200 for the two controllers that really open this drone up to some real flying. But at that point, I'd suggest going with the Avata 2 instead. Overall though, for a cheap start to droning, this guy is a great choice. Fantastic video, easy controls, some nice features that others don't have (missing a few they have though....) But still, this is a great start for those who want to dip thier toes before jumping in. And, after you jump in, this little guy will still come out of your bag of drones once in a while to do some things you wouldn't want your more expensive drones to do. Only negative to me is the super short battery life. I've never achieved over 10 mins flight. As light as this drone is, I think DJI could find a way to make a battery that's at least a little bit bigger. 15 mins real world flight time would be a big plus. ... show more

Savage Drones Drone Review, DJI Mini-SE Price on Amazon on 22-07-23: $299 Best feature: Affordable step-up to the wonderful DJI world Worst feature: Phone mounting position on the controller Summary: B+ This is a delightful little drone that’s easy to learn and a joy to fly, at a good price. However, if you can afford the extra cost for the Mini-2, that would be the better choice. Some of the highlights: 1) Before getting this drone, you should confirm that your phone can download and open the DJI Fly app. It’s free, and you can get it at the DJI website. 2) This drone is perfect for beginners because of its excellent GPS positioning, and other position sensors. That means the drone can hover well. If something strange starts to happen while you’re learning to fly it, just let go of the sticks, and it will hover and wait for you to tell it what to do. 3) The wind resistance is remarkably good for a drone at this price point 4) There is no “Fly More” kit for the Mini-SE. However, the Mini-SE batteries are identical to the Mini-2 batteries, and you get the Mini-2 Charging Hub with 2 batteries on Amazon for $150. You won’t need it if you only plan to fly occasionally, but if you expect to fly regularly, you’ll find the charging hub and extra batteries very useful. 5) Because of the terrible placement of the phone at the bottom of the remote control, you can’t get a decent sunshade for the Mini-SE. 6) The Mini-SE has great range for a drone at this price point. Conclusion: Straight out to the box, without any additions, this is the perfect starter drone at this price point. It’s easy to learn, a delight to fly, and affordable. There’s just no better option at the $299 price level. If that’s your budget…go for it! ... show more
