Excellent unit. Have used in both summer and winter at this point in Kansas. Cooling is great but heating is a little lacking for ~1,000 sf. Although not covered in the installation manual, I did evacuate the system which did require an adapter to fit the orifice. Unit produced very little noise in normal operation and was pretty easy to install. The remote works great but the icons could should be changed for more clarity. A fire sign for heat versus a sun would be a little less confusing to my wife. ... show more

It arrived 3 days ago, and I installed it today. It took me about 4 hours, but that's only because I took my time. I'm sure it could be done alot faster, but I wanted to make i did it right. I put it in the living room of a small 2 bedroom mobile home, and it instantly cooled the living, kitchen and laundry room within about 30 minutes! We've been running a window unit for several years, and when we cook, the window unit couldn't keep up. We cooked while this unit was on, and it never got hot in here. Just installed it and it is not coming on and nothing is working and a professional electrician installed at a professional HVAC and I’m not able to get any response back. I have called to the troubleshooting process. There is something wrong with the unit I need to on the board. I’m sure it’s a glitch in there somewhere but I have a brand new unit paid $1500 installation and it’s not working. ... show more

Fairly easy hook up. Instructions and template does not indicate which side the drain and wires come out so you have to look at the back of the unit before you drill a hole. It is not universal for right or left. You have to go with what the unit has on the back. I ended up drilling two holes because I just followed the template. Great mini split. I with there was step my step instructions. At one point the seller had a instructional video but when I went to install it, it was removed. I'm a very handy person and it was easy to install. Hardest part was making the initial hole through the concrete wall. Everything else was straight forward. Not an electrician so I had a fried do the electrical box. I recommend buying PVC to cover the copper lines from the elements or product from anything else. The unit is pre charged. Watch a UTube tutorial on how to vacuum the line. All you need is an Allen key. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. For what I paid for the unit I am very impressed it blows cold and hot plenty for my two car garage, however I would say this is more of a complete install kit than a DIY unit, if you do not have experience installing these it will be a challenge since it has to be vacuumed down witch requires additional tools and trade knowledge. But all together is a great buy, I also used a wall bracket to hang the unit, you can also use a ground stand both of which have to be purchased separately. ... show more
