  • Thin and bright!
This light board is so easy to use and it's thin surface brightens easily and is controlled by one finger touch. The smooth surface is high quality and has a cord that attaches easily. I've owned light box tables and this is so much better due to portability and easy storage.

  • Functional and reasonably priced
This light box (or pad, I suppose) works well, especially considering its price relative to other light boxes I looked at. It has some minor cosmetic flaws (power cord plug is mounted slightly crooked, some small spots on the front panel allow light leakage, edges of plastic back panel are sharp/rough), but none of these affects the performance. I was not expecting the pad to be particularly bright or evenly lit, but it is both. The illuminated surface stays quite cool during use, although the black frame becomes warm in some areas. I bought this one instead of alternatives because it comes with an AC power cord instead of USB. I use it on a drafting table, and I wanted something that could be plugged into a wall outlet. The illuminated area is actually slightly larger than 12X17 inches; it will comfortably accommodate an 11X17 sheet of paper. I use a 2B pencil on 24 lb. text-weight paper, then lay a sheet of 100 lb. bristol board over that, and the pencil lines show through clearly. The thin profile (3/8 inch, excluding the foam rubber feet) makes this kind of light box so much more comfortable to use and easier to store than the traditional thick ones. ... show more

  • Bright and light weight
The lighted surface of my 12” x 17” light box is actually 17 1/4” x 12 1/2”, surrounded by a 1 1/8” black frame. I like that the entire surface is the same level, no edges for the frame, so my papers always lay flat. Very thin because it plugs into my power source instead of using a battery. Nice & bright. I don’t see the tiny details clearly when I use my heavy Bristol vellum paper (probably could have 30 years ago!) , but I am able to transfer the design to my satisfaction. So far, I am very happy with this light pad. ... show more

  • Fabulous light table for an amazing price
I bought this to use for making fabric applique pieces in quilt projects. I looked a long time for something large enough for my needs and for a reasonable price. Finally I came across this one, loved the reviews it had, and decided to make the purchase. I am very glad I did. It's easy to use, a beautiful light table with excellent light. It has a large surface, so any size piece you need to work with (or lots of smaller pieces) are accommodated on its surface. My only problem was it was supposed to come with a protective bag for storage, and it did not. So I made one, and now all is well. Hardly a thing to worry about. If you need a light table, you ought to get this one-or you can pay six prices for one that may or may not be as high quality. I'd buy this one again in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Bright, Even Light from a Thin Package
This is a very good board. It is a nice size. You can still fit it in your lap if need be, though putting it on a table is more stable. The light is even across the whole board. The light is dimable, however I needed to read the instructions to figure out how (Press and Hold the power button to adjust brightness). The range of brightness is good too. The brightest is enough to shine through thick paper, or you can set it on low when working on thin stuff. One downside is that the on/off button is very sensitive. It is easy to accidentally turn the board off by brushing it with your hand or a ruler, etc. So it is best to rotate the board such that the button is far from where your hands need to be. Update: Lately, it has begun to need "warm up" time. For a few minutes after I light it up, the board blinks off and back on intermittently. After that, the light shines solidly. ... show more

  • Good product!
It's bright enough for anything I need at all. It also allows you to change the brightness level by pressing down on the power "button". I had it in my head that the grids it comes with were attached. They're not, but have the kind of material that stays easily in place. I'm really happy with this.

  • Completely revolutionized my artwork!
I shopped around quite a bit looking for a "light box" as I was tired of drawing free-hand before painting. I'm very old-school, don't use gadgets for my artwork, just my hands, pen, pencil paint and brushes. I really just want to paint these days, not into drawing right now, and free-hand drawing is tedious and stressful at times which discourages me from painting at all. I looked at some light boxes at local stores and they were either too small, too boxy and/or priced too high. I have never used a light box so have nothing to compare it to, but this thing has met my needs and expectations! Its a nice and big lighted surface, super slim, the light is really bright. It will shine through 140 lb. watercolor paper which makes it super easy for me to draw my basic outlines before painting. I am cranking out the paintings sometimes at a rate of one completed painting per day! This thing has been a total game changer for my artwork, and well worth the price. When I wear this one out, I won't hesitate to buy another. LOVE IT! ... show more

  • Outstanding product if it came with a power supply.
I use light tables in a laboratory setting to count seed and determine fertile/infertile condition of seeds. The ultra-thin form factor plus dimmable switch is a great step up from the boxy, on/off models that have long been available. Less strain on the eyes with dimmer lights is a big plus. Unfortunately, I ordered two and one of them arrive without a power supply. Because of pandemic restrictions on office access, & holiday travel, I was unable to process a request for a replacement. If you're looking for a light table, I still recommend this model! ... show more
