This is a metal box spring that needs assembled. It has a lightweight cover. I chose to not put the cover on. I think it looks good with my metal bed frame. Photos included. Took about 30 minutes to put together and it fit right into the bed frame. Much sturdier than a wooden frame.

To be honest, this was more to assemble than I would have expected. But after I got over my first impression, I found that it was not as hard or long time taking as I had expected. Once I assembled it, I was rather impressed by how sturdy it is and how it has a good but not overwhelming weight to it. At least it has not yet crushed my rather low cost queen bed in our guest room, which is occupied on a very regular basis. The cover is definitely a plus, and was easy to put on. I do love how it elevates the mattress on the low profile bed, raising it to regular sitting level. All in all, it is worth getting, but be prepared for quite the assembly.

Overall, this is a sturdy and reliable queen-size box spring that excels in assembly but falters slightly in quality control and customer support. The Assembly Experience The setup process was impressively smooth. It took me less than an hour to get everything put together. The instructions were well-labeled and detailed, which is a breath of fresh air compared to typical flat-pack furniture. Organization: The screws come in a well-organized, labeled package. Extras: They provide the necessary tools and even include extra screws just in case. Build & Performance At first glance, the metal frame pieces seemed a bit light and thin, which gave me some pause. However, once fully assembled, the structure feels remarkably sturdy. Most importantly, it is completely silent—no squeaking at all when moving around on the mattress. The Downsides While the hardware is great, I ran into three main issues: Sizing Error: The cover provided in my box was for a full-size frame rather than a queen. It’s frustrating to have the frame ready but the finishing touch not fit. Poor Support: I reached out to the seller to resolve the cover issue, but had no luck getting any help. Odorous Fabric: The cover also had a noticeable chemical smell right out of the package, so you may want to air it out before use. If you are looking for a quiet, easy-to-build frame, this is a great choice and worth the amount they are charging. Just be aware that if you receive the wrong size cover or need parts, the seller's customer service might be difficult to reach.
