Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

    • Trans cooler fitting stripped out. Can't return it, bought a different brand to replace it.
Everything was fine until I went to install the lower transmission cooler line. The fitting in the radiator looked kind of beat up on the outside, so I was suspicious of it from the get go. I threaded the cooler line in by hand and when I went to tighten it it ripped the threads right out of the inside of the radiator. I didn't over tighten it, I barely touched it with the wrench, and the threads ripped out. I bought this in December, but didn't get to it until now because this was a side project I had going on. It's now May so I can't exchange it and didn't want to hassle with having to go through the manufacturer for the warranty so I ended up just buying another brand. Maybe I just got unlucky with this one butas I said it seemed like something was wrong with that fitting the way it arrived out of the box. ... show more

I had a tiny crack in my ML320 radiator. Next to impossible to fix on the car. It is a lot of work to put a new radiator in, but there are good instructions on youtube! This radiator looked as well built as the original. My original lasted 275,000 miles! Go MB!

    • Bottom Trans Cooler Fitting Stripped Out
I originally purchased this replacement radiator for my 2004 ML350 because the only negative review I saw was about the lower trans cooler fitting being stripped out. I figured that was a fluke. On installing the replacement, what happens? The trans cooler fitting stripped out! Half of the entire fitting thread was inside the bolt threads when I pulled it out. Really crappy workmanship, especially compared to the original part. Amazon has already sent a replacement and we'll see if I have better luck with the next. ... show more

If it sounds to good to be true it probably is ! Description stayed that the part had scratches. There was NO mention of damaged threads! You should've just thrown it away instead of selling to someone.
