Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

  • TYC was junk for me.
Radiator looked fine. Box it arrived in was delivered open on the top and bottom!!! Picked up and it almost slid out onto my feet. Inspected it and it appeared to be fine. So I went through all the work of pulling the old radiator out and installing this new one in. Had to reinstall almost everything to test for leaks with the motor running. Filled it up and started my Cruiser, and it leaks from the entire top plastic tank where it is crimped to the aluminum core! WTF? So about 4 hours of work just to find out that it leaks x10 more than the 21 year old one I just took out. Very pissed that I had to drain all the anti-freeze, and tranny fluid to remove it and return. Ultimately bought a replacement from O'riellys for $100 more, just they are local and have a lifetime warranty. No shipping to wait for. Installed and no leaks. Back on the road. The only good part is Amazons return is so freakin easy. Amazon= 5 stars. This TYC radiator = 0 stars. ... show more

  • TYC for Land Cruiser 80
Along with a blue hub aisin fan clutch (modified open temperature to 95 degrees and added 59ml 30K silicone fluid) this radiator has brought my engine temps down roughly 10 degrees. I live in south Texas so running the A/C and sitting in stop and go traffic resulted in 200+ degree temps. Now I hit 190. Once moving, I drop to 186. I guess I got lucky with the one I got in that no shipping damage. These cool better than the Koyo brand radiators and when combined with a modified blue hub it will really cool much better than pretty much anything. ... show more

  • Too wide for my vehicle...
The brackets were not to spec to fit my Landcruiser, this radiator was slightly larger. I tried to make it fit but after about 30 minutes I just took the metal off the new one, threw it away, and used the original side mounting plates. Also, check the angles automatic transmission fluid in/out. I didn't check and when I put the radiator cowling in pushed on the intake line, loosening it, and I was leaking trans fluid. Once I got all that settled, seems to be working well. No idea on longevity. ... show more

  • Not sturdy, leaks after a couple years
Ordered and installed mid-2014. It was Koyo manufactured, arrived in good condition, and was a direct fit for my LX450. Sadly, a mere 4 years later I've got some pretty nasty leaks across the top, particularly on the front driver's side corner where the polymer top is crimped to the body. It is functional, and it has kept temperatures down, but with the leaks it's a liability. OEM lasted 18 years and I only replaced it because a previous owner managed to clog it up with a mechanic-in-a-can solution to an unrelated problem. I'll be replacing with OEM in the next few months. ... show more

Not a direct fit. Upper bolts do not line up, literally had to use zip ties... oddly enough, the mounting holes where the rubber gaskets go through to mount the radiator are on opposite sides. 1 hole is on facing the front of the car, and the other hole faces the back of the car. on the flip side, no leaks. Also, the major reason why I bought this over others was prime shipping, I received it 7 days after I ordered it instead. I wasn’t too thrilled about that either. ... show more

  • Why spend more
This is a fraction of the price of the Toyota one. I'm usually a Toyota only guy under the hood, but the reviews of this one had been fantastic, and the price is unbeatable. Coolant temps have been solid all summer. No complaints.

Perfect fit. It has been in several weeks with good cooling and no leaks.
