Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

  • A decent radiator at a good price
I tried to get replacement radiator from my local NAPA store for my 97 Accord at first. But they didn't have it in stock. So I ended it with this one from Amazon. As noted by a previous reviewer, this radiator is made by "Koyo". The product finish appears to be excellent and build quality feels decent. I had no trouble to fit it in. Be sure the original rubber grommets are in place before tightening down. This is crucial because no radiator will last long without proper installation. It has been only a few weeks since I put this radiator in, and so far so good, no leak at all. Only time will tell, but I feel happy over the bundle I saved and confident on the product quality & workmanship I put in by myself. ... show more

  • Fits perfectly. Great quality.
This is an exact fit for my '97 Honda Accord LX. Arrived just in time for my at home project. Got a new radiator along with both upper & lower hoses.

  • So Far So Good
I was skeptical buying an aftermarket radiator but so far it's working great. Fitment is good

  • Radiator fit my 95 Accord EX 2.2L
Well packaged, arrived in good shape, in original box marked "KOYORAD Complete Radiator". Installed this radiator in my 95 honda, which had a NipponDenso that was leaking around the tank somewhere. TYC radiator, comes with Radiator Cap and drain cock, and seems identical in fit as original. It does not include the rubber bushings at the bottom; I used the old ones which were in good shape. All of the holes for the fan shrouds lined up well, as did the Transmission cooler and coolant hoses. It is possible to loosen the trans. cooler pipes with a 19mm wrench; they have flared fittings so they can be turned if needed (they lined up pretty close to the original but I adjusted one of them slightly). Radiator is made in Indonesia, and it seems a bit lighter weight than the original. The original Denso seems to have brass upper/lower rail plates (where the coolant tubes are attached), whereas this one seems to use aluminum plates. The fins on this one seemed very delicate and bent easily when I accidentally brushed against them while installing it (compared to the original one which was not so fragile). Not sure how long it will last but it was much less expensive than OEM Honda radiator.. time will tell. Overall, pretty much satisfied with it. ... show more

  • Radiador
Me toco comprar otro, este duró menos de 1 mes, tipo juguete no lo recomiendo

  • Exact Factory replacement, great price.
This radiator has the exact same dimensions as the NipponDenso rad I took out of my 94 accord. Everything was a direct replacement, hoses for trans cooler and engine coolant fit perfectly without any adjustment. Nuts for the fan shrouds were exactly where they should have been, though I had to recycle my old (rusty) bolts. TYC (AKA ToyoRad) Included a cap and petcock, which not all aftermarket rads include. Saved about $300 by replacing it myself. The job took 3 hours, which included me fighting with some totally rusted-out/rounded off bolts to get the old one off. The item had arrived with the box completely open on the top, so I was nervous it may have been damaged or missing something, but no leaks so far, and no bent fins. I would be glad to update this review to comment on longevity or provide more detail if anyone requests. ... show more

  • 97 Honda Accord replacement radiator
97 Honda Accord, AT, A/C - radiator as advertised & fits perfectly. Suggest replacement of old radiator as follows; 1. Drain old radiator by opening drain petcock located under old radiator. 2. Remove upper radiator hose completly. 3. Remove lower radiator hose at the thermostat end only. 3. Mark & disconnect the two AT cooling hoses from the connection on top of the transmission only. 4. Disconnect the cooling fans electrical connectors & slide off from the radiator brackets. 5. Remove the two upper radiator brackets that hold the radiator in place. 6. Remove the bracket(s) that hold the AC line in place and the coolant reservoir bottle next to the battery. 7. Remove the radiator by sliding the AT hoses and the lower radiator hose between the AC line while you are pulling straight up on the radiator, bend the hoses as needed. 8. Remove the fans and AT hoses from the old unit & transfer to the new radiator, replace any rusty bolts 9. Install new lower radiator hose in the same position as the old one using a new hose clamp. 10. Install the new radiator using new hose clamps on all hoses. 11. Loosen the air bleed screw located on top of the thermostat housing. 12. Fill radiator with 50/50 antifreeze solution (1/2 antifreeze + 1/2 distilled water) until this mixture comes out air free from the thermostat air bleed screw. 13. Install the coolant resevoir & fill half way, reconnect the hose to the radiator under the radiator cap. 14. Radiator should be full - if not top it off with antifreeze & reinstall the radiator cap. 15. Start engine & allow it to warm up until the fan(s)turn on while checking for leaks. ... show more
