We purchased this for my son at college. They have a house just off campus and I didn’t want him to take his bed from home since, well, it’s college and they’re gross at that age. We all know what happens. The pictures of the mattress are immediately after we opened it. It literally instantly went from vacuum sealed to inflation in a snap. Much different from other mattresses we’ve bought in the past. You usually have to give a few days to a week to see it reach its full capacity. Not so much with this. It’s not uncomfortable. It seems soft and comfy. The the price was right, but unfortunately I don’t think this will last very long. The quality is on the low side for the vacuum sealed mattresses with the one. I have purchased 7 different mattresses from Amazon with only one that was a fail. It will suit him for the 3 years but it will not be making the trip back. If you’re buying for a spare room that doesn’t have a lot of visitors, then I do recommend it. I don’t think it’s a full time sleeper though. This bed is absolutely amazing. It’s exactly 12 inches, I actually struggle climbing into bed because it’s so high. It’s plush, just how I like it but not extremely plush to where you would sink in. You certainly will get your value for your money. It came rolled up and flat. I waited 3 long agonizing days for it to inflate fully but it was worth the wait. I’m truly in heaven. It's not as push as I was expecting but I still get a good night's sleep. It feels like it's more "coil" than "foam" but is comfortable. I'm petite and weigh about 117 for reference. Overall great value for the price.
