Easy assembly works as it should

I recently installed the Titan Extruder upgrade on my CR-10 V2. Although it's a great direct drive upgrade, the amount of weight it puts on the hot end assembly is significant. This, potentially, can impact the acceleration and movement of the hot end, and therefore, 3D prints with a lot of angles. With this stepper, not only did it cut the weight by 2/3rds, it worked perfectly without me re-calibrating the e-steps! Now don't get me wrong, I plan to perform e-steps tuning, via Pronterface, to dial it in after I install the E3D V6 all metal hot end (with 3D Passion nozzle and heatbreak). Pay no attention to the cable management in the pictures since that is temporary. I'm designing a drag chain setup in Fusion360 to handle all that. Thanks! Updated: I added a heat sink (removed the included tissue tape and installed actual thermal adhesive tape) to the stepper motor since it runs a little warm.

Overall, the design seems solid. I was impressed with the way that the legs ensure that the main assembly is square. And it will cut pieces up to 300 mm in length, which was a requirement for me. The instructions are minimal and the online wiki is only partially helpful. In particular, it was unclear how to orient the X-axis beam and I put the carriage assembly on backwards the first time, which meant that I had to back up in the assembly to correct the mistakes. I bought this because I have been 3D Printing for a long time and wanted to try my hand at laser cutting. Most laser cutters are much more expensive then this -- the $190 price point drew me in. But you also need - A safety enclosure ($50) - Air Assist ($80) You may also need Lightburn ($100) -- the trial certainly makes it seem like it's easier to use than LaserGRBL. So, all in, expect to spend between $300 to $400, before you buy any materials, which is still a much lower price point than a full-featured out-of-the-box-ready-to-print machine. Also, I now realize that I'm going to have to run this outside in the carport or do some serious rearranging of my furniture inside. If you haven't worked with laser cutters before, I recommend getting some experience at a local makerspace (if available) before buying any home machine.
