SOLID, machined aluminum - mounts securely - Look good! Comes in a snap lock plastic case with allen wrench to secure to your rail.     • Defective Rear Sight
First of all, these sights were very well made and operated perfectly. I was very impressed considering their cost. I really wanted to like these sights. Unfortunately, the rear sight would not lock down when disengaged for the down position. I believe this inherent problem with these sights could be corrected if the default peep aperture was the large opening instead of the small opening. The present default setting causes the sight not to go all the way down to the AR-15 upper picatinny rail and thus causes the problem with the sight wanting to not lock and pop up. If this defect is ever fixed I would definitely recommend these sights. At present I am sorry to say I would not purchase these in their present design state. Too bad!
