Description

This is a two channel stereo audio AB switch. A special feature of this switch is that it also switches and isolates the ground channel. This eliminates or greatly reduces the chances of any noise coming from ground loops. This switch will let you pass your audio through to output 1, output 2, or neither if you put the switch in the middle position. (The switch has three positions and can be used as an audio on off switch.) This A B channel on/off audio selector can also be used backwards. You can input two audio signals and switch to the one you want to come out the middle jack. You can let input 1 come out, input 2 come out, or nothing comes out. Also great for both TRS and TRRS audio plugs on headphones and headsets with a microphone. This item measures 2 x 1 3/8 by 7/8 inches thin (50mm x 35mm x 24mm) and weighs 0.84 Ounces (24 grams). No batteries required. The audio cables are not included so be sure to get the right lengths you need. This switch is assembled in Canada using quality parts. I wanted to use one set of speakers for two sources One of the sources was my overhead projector and laptop I bought some short 3.5mm leads to connect the box up and it’s works great - nice and compact too

    • Eliminates ground loop hum
This is the one to buy. I'd previously bought another audio switch that used a common ground connection, and it had a horrible background buzz/hum. This one isolates the ground connections to eliminate the hum, and it works great.

This is a review for "Audio Switch Box 1/8" 3.5mm ab Speaker Switch Headphones selector a b" I bought June 2022 for $16.99. It works exactly as advertised and is a great value. I like that it is compact and I particularly like that all 3 wires plug in from the same side so I can set it on the back edge of my desk and all wires go back and down behind my desk. This product works very well. I am using it with TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cables. I assume it also will work with TRRS (tip-ring-ring-sleeve) cables. I has a center 'off' position, which I find useful. Please be aware that this product is quite small The footprint is about 1.75 inches by 1.25 inches. That is fine with me, but it may be smaller than you expect. ... show more

    • Overpriced for a cheaply built product
Pretty good in isolating the signal, no feedback or anything. However, the input ports are cheaply built and get loose after only 2-3 days.
