This is the second rug of this type that I’ve purchased. Yes, it’s very synthetic and thin (as opposed to “cushy”) but it’s super soft to step on when getting out of bed. Not gonna lie, I eventually wanna get a really nice rug for the primary bedroom but this one is excellent for less than $100. The other one I have is over a year old and is holding up remarkably well! I have been extremely impressed with it and it looks exactly the same as it did on day one. I know this one will last as long as I need it. The brown in the rug is a really pretty, rich color. Irl, (that’s “in real life” for the other old ladies out there who don’t get shamed by their children into learning some internet slang/abbreviations) the rug looks lighter than I expected—lighter than it looks in the photo—because of the tie-dye effect. I very much like the color variation to help hide small stains and lots of dog hair though. I was torn between the brown and the coffee tie-dye (which might have been through a different maker) but I think the coffee would have had some near black tones to it so I think I made the best choice for me. I got this rug for my 15 month old son to replace his play mat in his play area. It is super soft to the touch, like others said very synthetic and had a pretty bad smell when I opened it. Pretty much is what I expected for $50 though. I did end up putting it over top of his old play mat for extra cushion because I really don’t feel the memory foam in it. I am impressed though. I’m not sure the dimensions were totally right though either but it worked fine for us anyways. I think my son will enjoy the soft feeling to it. ... show more

I purchased this rug to go into the room where I foster kitties. It looked like a very plush and deep pile in the picture. I thought it would be great to be able to sit on the floor to play with the kitties on the plush rug. I'm actually a little disappointed because it's really not that thick deep plush as it appears in the picture. It is decent enough though and it will do for the purpose I intended to use it for. I was originally worried about the other reviews about smell and thinness. However I went ahead because you really can not beat the price. But let me tell you do not give those reviews a second thought. I had 0 smell and there is a slight cushion for the rug making it extra soft and cushiony. I have had some food crumbs get tangled up in the carpet but as long as you use your hands and do a decent vacuum you can get it out no problem. I have not tried putting it through the washer so that is why I gave it a neutral 3 stars in terms of cleaning. ... show more
