My son and I put this bed together almost on our own. We only needed help from dad when it came time to lift the bed frame and attach it to the stairs. It took us a few hours. The instructions weren't clear about which direction parts needed to be placed, so many times we had to unscrew the part and turn it around, but we had determined to work slowly and not let this get us frustrated. My son loves his new bed! The only bad part was the LED lights. They were really cool for about a week, but then they fell down due to the tape failing and the colors stopped changing. We didn't select the bed for the lights, so this is just a bummer and not a deal breaker. It does require a very low mattress to ensure the side bars work well.

We purchased this bunk bed and were disappointed to discover that the ladder steps are not evenly spaced. The first step from the ground measures approximately 15 inches, the next is about 10 inches, then 15 inches again, followed by another 10 inches. Because of this uneven spacing, it feels awkward and uncomfortable stepping down, especially from the top bunk. The height differences make it difficult to descend safely and could pose a tripping hazard, particularly for children. The bed itself seems sturdy, but the ladder design is a significant flaw that should be addressed. Even step spacing would greatly improve safety and usability. I would recommend the manufacturer review this design for consistency and safety.

Got this for my son, he loves it. Took my husband and I roughly 3 hours to put the bed together, it was pretty easy. Giving 4 stars tho because when my son was coming down the stairs of the bed it does seem a little wobbly but doesn’t seem to bed.
