2 months ago I spent a total of 127$ for the Askeld 9in metal box spring, it arrived on time with no damages to the box or pieces, it was easy to assemble with just me and the included tools (the tolerances aren't perfect but still good). The design lends itself to sturdiness and no squeaking with movement (I weigh about 250lbs and room is carpeted) The sturdy design frame makes it less than ideal for underneath storage, but I wanted sturdiness more than perfect underneath storage. I also use this on the carpet with a mattress on top, no idea what frame/rail system you would buy if you wanted to raise it up (read some reviews that people had trouble finding a system that fit) Also I had to spend extra 20 bucks for 6 of the Askeld mattress anti-slip clamps or else the mattress would slide around. Kinda rough that the item doesn't come with some for free, would be nice if the set came with 8 since a bed has 4 sides. Still the clamps are good too, they have 2 bolts you tighten by hand instead types with one central bolt or bolts you tighten in with tools. They don't slip around or cause trouble, short enough that you shouldn't hit them when you get in/out of bed. ... show more

This was a great addition to my bedroom set. I like that it was easy to assemble and light enough to bring to my bedroom, but sturdy too. It doesn't come with a cover so its best to buy one along with it unless you want to see bars LOL, but other than that it was a great buy. I like being high up so that's why I got 9 inches but if you want to be lower to the ground 5 inches will work too. ... show more

This frame was very easy to assemble. We put the frame inside our queen bed where the box spring used to go. It's a little higher but works and looks great. It is very sturdy and doesn't squeak.

Using a VERY Heavy, thick (tall) mattress that crushed normal, metal skeletal, Bed Frames with wheels after about 2 years. This High Metal Box Spring with EXTRA Slats actually provides outstanding Support. I only wish I had known about this Askeld product long ago. I'm very happy to finally have a solid solution. I thought we probably needed to buy a new mattress but waited to try this metal box spring replacement before shopping for a new Mattress and I'm GLAD that I waited, because our current heavy & Very Expensive mattress now feels "much more" confrontable; now that it has industrial-grade, adequate support! I purchased this bed because of the 3500 pound weight capacity and granted, myself and my husband are not small people, but we definitely do not weigh 3500 pounds. When bed is kneeled on sometimes the crossbar pops out of place, and there is noticeable Bowing on side where my husband sleeps
