Edit 5/20/23: new dock arrived a couple of days later, it works, if you have any troubles with it just unplug power cable and plug it back in, for the price, I can't complain Edit 5/17/23: Seller is very responsive and supportive of their product, within a couple of days of reaching out they have shipped me a new unit to replace the lemon i received the first time, will update with review of replacement unit when it arrives, added 2 stars back for seller responsiveness. Original review first used 4/28: Find a better dock, this one feels cheap and flat out does not work. It worked maybe twice then just stopped working altogether. Save your money and get one that is decent.

I was bummed when I learned the hdmi port to the original docking that came with my switch stopped working due to age, but after ordering this new one, I am much happier. It’s smaller, exposes the switch more, but still provides the same amount of usb hdmi port etc as did the original dock. It’s like new all over again. Very satisfied with the dock.

I've tried a couple and this one is the best out of them. Everything connects and works well, the only thing is it won't charge faster than it dies, so you'll have to charge your Switch before use. Essentially, works fine in function but doesn't charge, only makes it die slower.

I LOOOOVE this dock, I’m actually so happy that I got it. It’s nice for when I want to have my switch sitting up without having to set up the tv, I’ll literally just use this dock as a stand so I can game in bed, in my car when waiting around, and even to watch YouTube in the bath. Totally worth it.

The media could not be loaded. The USBC in the dock doesn't work. I made sure the dock was set to TV mode. My usbc charger cable and hdmi cable work fine with my phone and laptop. I tried unplugging and replugging in the usbc cable and the hdmi cord in the dock and my TV multiple times. It's not a cable issue. I'm going to return this because it doesn't work. The connection is bad so it just starts and stops charging the switch repeatedly.

The media could not be loaded. I wasn't looking forward to finding a replacement dock for my Switch, but I'm really glad I found this one. Works perfectly and its low profile design allows you to play in handheld mode even while docked (can't do that with the Switch dock). Also includes a USB-3.0 port, (2) USB-2.0 ports, and HDMI selection at the press of a button. Better than the original imo. 10/10

If you travel a lot & don't want to keep unplugging the original base station (the device that makes the handheld Nintendo Switch work with a television) this is much cheaper than the Nintendo name brand part. It is ONLY the UNIT. You still need a power supply (USB-C . . . just like most phone chargers) as well as an HDMI cord to connect it to the television. Once it is plugged into a power supply, it has 2 USB ports to plug external wireless controllers & charge the controllers as well as pairing the controllers with the Nintendo Switch. If you travel or have kids that play the Switch this is worth the time & money to keep the original base station hooked up to the television at home & use THIS device (along with the not included HDMI & USB-C charging cable) to play the Nintendo Switch on a television on the road. I recommend keeping the original box & packaging to keep the unit protected from getting gummed up or smashed while being transported but early indications are this is a good alternative to the more expensive Nintendo brand base unit. I do not post many reviews & if something goes wrong with a purchase I can be critical to the seller or the manufacturer but I am happy with this product & my purchase. Much smaller than Nintendo Switch name brand Base Station which makes it more portable by design. I had it hooked up to a television ready to play games on a large screen in less than 5 minutes. Plug a USB-C charging cable into this device, plug an HDMI cord into a television & this device, & plug a USB powered WIRELESS CONTROLLER (or a USB WIRED CONTROLLER) & play video games in a hotel, or friend's house, or any other place that has an HDMI adapted TV & happy playing.

My original Nintendo broke so I gave this a try but It looks like this dock has low FPS (frames per second). It works fine but makes it look like I’m playing on an older TV. I guess it’s what I got for the price.
